December Eve

Today I am back with a new addition to my eyeshadow palette collection and it is a very special one. As you may have already figured out what it is and which brand it is from the images. So, let’s begin.

Many of you may already know that I am a neutrals lover – of all kinds – but mostly true neutrals and warmer tones also appeal to me.

Not so long ago I added a colorful palette to my collection and it, absolutely unexpectedly and to my big surprise, made me fall in love with a new shade line that I never thought I would ever use and, specially, love.

At the end of last year I decided to try new products from the brand that I haven’t tested before, but at the same time, most of the products were raved about by many beauty lovers. I jumped on a train a bit later because I felt overwhelmed by the color stories and the quality of the products. I hope it is clear enough that I am talking about Juvia’s Place eyeshadow palette as a general category here.

I have tested several products from the shopping haul that I made already and the blogs and YouTube Video are up on my channel and you can find all the links in this blog as well.

Initially I thought I would test all the products and do a round up all- in – one blog post / YT video, then I realized that each product deserved its own time of attention. So here it is.

Now let’s take a closer look on the palette and talk details.

What’s In It For You ?

We are looking into the 16 pan eyeshadow palette where there is a mixture of shimmer and matte textures. This high pigmented palette was inspired by the moon and the sun and making it a palette that would work for your day-to-night looks. There is a range of cool and warm tones and, needless to say, this palette is colorful.

You definitely need to love color and colorful bald eye makeup looks to be attracted to such color story.

The packaging is very much on trend with what we are used to see from the brand. The palette is in light pink/ coral color from the outside and it is bright orange on the inside. To my liking, I wish it was the same color on the inside as on the outside. I find it a bit distracting from the color story. There is no mirror in this palette. ( as you may see on the images). The packaging is fully cardboard and quite light by weight. There is no specific closure here, the palette closes simple like a book.

The Swatches

Let’s take a look at all swatches. These were made by me for my beauty IG account and they are beautifully lined up. I can also assure you that the finger swatches are just as bright and pigmented without adding extra effort. The Swatches were done with a finger and corrected with a flat eyeshadow brush to make even lines ( just for a full transparency).

The colors are beautiful and I personally get very inspired to dig into this palette and play with colors. Not going to lie, this palette is out of my comfort zone a bit, and, most probably, not something that I could wear on a daily basis. At the same time, I feel like it brings me life and smile to my face, specially knowing the fact that the pigments are so bright and the formula is very bendable.

The Look

I wanted to experiment with the most colors I could in one look and play with the combination of shades. I used total of 6 shades for the look below (shadows are indicated in the image below). I liked how the look came out. It was relatively easy to blend the colors, however, the shades are very pigmented and, to my humble opinion, may be tricky to work with for a makeup/ beauty beginner. But eyeshadows are not something to be afraid of, it won’t bight you:) If it doesn’t look good, you just wipe it off and start again. Eventually you may love the strong pigment. Practice makes it perfect or good enough, or acceptable lol. You get the gist.

I loved how this makeup look came out. It is quote bright and strong eye look, and I went with a lighter and glowed base products and light pink lip to balance out the entire look. I think it came out very nice and quote feminine.

Let me know of your thoughts ? Do you like colorful palette or do you stay away and prefer neutrals? Do you consider picking this palette up/ own anything similar already?

Is It Worth It?

This is a great colorful eyeshadow palette that you may need in your life. The packaging is pretty, the quality is top notch to my opinion – pigmented with very fine blend ability. There is some fall out which is expected with very pigmented shades , both mattes and shimmers. My advise is to do the bright eye looks before applying the complexion products.

This palette brings me inspiration and limitless color combinations that can possibly be created. You may also go for a simple 1 to 3 shade looks for a daily wear. I would say, this would be a good option if you like to try colorful choose or never tried brand’s formula.

Even though in the beginning I felt overwhelmed with how bright and colorful this color story was, the more I play with it, the more I feel comfortable and confident with blending and color combinations. It is like learning and getting used to a new person and a new personality.

I hope you like this post and found it helpful. I hope you stay for awhile exploring the pages of my blog and consider subscribing before you leave. If you liked this post, give it a thumb up and feel free to share it with someone who may also like it.

From Eve with love.

2. Mark - 2/5 stars - "Lucy Worsley delves into the witchcraft persecutions" fell short for me. 3. Sarah - 3/5 stars - While "Lucy Worsley delves into the witchcraft persecutions" provided some interesting information about the historical context of witchcraft persecutions, I found it to be somewhat formulaic and predictable in its approach. It followed the usual pattern of discussing famous historical cases without delving into lesser-known stories or shedding new light on the topic.
