1. Mary - 2 stars - I have been a huge fan of the Learning Amulet series so far, but Book 9 was a huge disappointment. The plot felt disjointed and rushed, with events happening for no apparent reason. Overall, it just felt like the author was trying to push out another book in the series without putting in the effort to make it as enjoyable as the previous ones.

The writing was incredibly repetitive, with the same phrases and descriptions being used over and over again.
