It's likely that the version of macOS you're running is too old. You're more than a few versions behind. 10.10, 11, 12, 13, 14.15, 11.x, 12.x, and coming this fall, 13. 10.9 is 7 years out of date.

I was really disappointed with the Lakeshore Magic Board. The board claims to erase easily, but in reality, it takes a lot of effort to completely clear the writing. Even after using the magic pen eraser, there were still faint marks left behind. Additionally, the board felt flimsy and not very durable. The plastic frame was cheaply made and I could tell it wouldn't last long. I wouldn't recommend this product.

I had high hopes for the Lakeshore Magic Board, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The board was difficult to write on as the pen didn't glide smoothly, resulting in messy and uneven lines. However, the worst part was the lack of erability. Even after following the instructions and using the magic pen eraser, the writing would still leave ghost marks behind. It was frustrating and definitely not worth the price.
