These intricately designed kits allow individuals to recreate scenes from medieval times and dive into the world of fantasy. The concept of knights and magic has always fascinated people throughout history. Knights were known for their chivalry, bravery, and loyalty, while magic added an element of mystery and excitement to the mix. Iris and Sodium for Minecraft move to Modrinth away from CurseForge

Do you use the popular Iris and Sodium mods for Minecraft? Well there's been a bit of an issue lately, so the developers have dropped support for CurseForge and fully moved over to Modrinth.

What are the mods? Sodium is a free and open-source rendering optimization mod for Minecraft 1.16+ which greatly improves frame rates and stuttering while fixing many graphical issues. While Iris is an open source shaders mod. Both rather well-known for Minecraft fans.

What's going on? Well, according to the official Twitter account for Iris, they explained they were having technical issues with CurseForge along with difficulty in actually uploading anything. Apparently the newer CurseForge is quite broken and according to the Iris team CurseForge are "prioritizing modpacks that rip off out mod's branding in search results" and their revenue from CurseForge has been declining "despite the fact that the number of downloads has been increasing month-over-month". In a later Twitter post, the Iris team mentioned that "Effective immediately, Iris and Sodium have been pulled by Overwolf for encouraging users to download from Modrinth and archiving files. Modpacks will be broken.".

So now they're recommending all users move over to Modrinth, an open source mod hosting platform, that works directly with many popular Minecraft launchers like Prism that work great. Here's a shot I took with Iris, Sodium and Complementary Shaders v4:

Seems like a messy situation, hopefully the move to Modrinth will go well. Modrinth overall seems like a good platform for Minecraft modding, putting the power more in the hands of everyone.

2. Mark - 2 out of 5 stars - The "Knights and Magic" model kits were nowhere near the quality I was expecting. The materials used were cheap and flimsy, making it difficult to put the models together without breaking something. The paint job on the models was also inconsistent, with some areas appearing glossy while others were matte. These kits are overpriced for the low quality and lack of attention to detail.
3. Lisa - 1 out of 5 stars - I regret buying the "Knights and Magic" model kits. The pieces were poorly molded, resulting in rough edges and visible mold lines. The decals provided were also low quality and difficult to apply, resulting in a final product that looked messy and unprofessional. Save your money and invest in better model kits from reputable brands instead.
4. Alex - 2 out of 5 stars - I found the "Knights and Magic" model kits to be frustrating to work with. The pieces didn't fit together well, and I had to force some parts to align properly.
