PS – I listened to the original by The Police and did NOT like it at all. When I showed Kris my cover he immediately knew the song. And he wasn’t surprised that I didn’t. I have a habit of somehow not knowing things about popular culture that everybody knows… Ask anyone I know. I am happy that I discovered the Sleeping At Last version first. It is sooooooooo so so so SO much better!

Stewart Copeland We tried it fast, we tried it slow, we tried it reggae, we tried it punk, we tried it as a bossa nova, We tried every which way, but nothing. Many of the shots are in George Martin s AIR Studios, where they did their recording, but we also see people of the island with the members of the band.

Am I the only one who discovers most of their absolute favorite songs from TV show soundtracks?? Even if the background music is so quiet you can barely hear it, if it sounds interesting, I will pause the show and go back. I have been known to listen to a clip over and over again trying to identify the lyrics so I can look them up and download the song later.

That is what happened with Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, originally sung by The Police, but covered by Sleeping at Last in Grey’s Anatomy, season 10, episode 20 (yes I know every detail of this song). I heard it and watched the scene that it was in five times, just because the song was so beautiful (oh and also the scene might have made me cry). Then I looked the song up and paused Grey’s while I listened to it on repeat 20 more times. It is that good. If you haven’t heard it yet you can listen here.

If I love a song that much I pretty much have no choice but to sing it. I changed the ‘she’ to ‘he’, but here you have it, the Rachael Burgess cover of Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic. My version, as usual, doesn’t do the song justice. But guys, I just can’t resist singing the songs that inspire me so much!

Reviews for "Unleashing the True Magic of "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" Through Covers"

1. John - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with this cover of "Every little thing she does is magic." The vocal performance felt lackluster and didn't capture the magic of the original song. The arrangement felt forced and didn't add anything new or interesting to the track. Overall, it fell flat and I found myself longing for the original version.
2. Sarah - 1/5 - This cover of "Every little thing she does is magic" was a complete disaster. The singer's voice was off-key and the music seemed completely out of sync with the lyrics. It felt like a rushed and poorly executed attempt at covering a classic hit. I couldn't even listen to the whole song, it was that bad. I would highly recommend sticking to the original version of this song and avoiding this cover at all costs.
3. Emily - 2/5 - I was really looking forward to hearing a new take on "Every little thing she does is magic," but unfortunately, this cover fell short for me. The singer's voice was too soft and lacked the energy and charisma that Sting brought to the original. The instrumentals were plain and didn't have the same infectious rhythm that made the original so captivating. Overall, it felt like a forgettable and uninspired rendition of a great song.
