Emily and her mother live alone after losing her father. She wants to help her mother find happiness and to learn about the father she never knew. When Emily finds a mysterious chest that transports her to a magical world, she meets fantastic and mythical creatures that become her new friends. After discovering her new friends are in danger, Emily must face her worst few to complete her journey.

1. Sarah - 2 stars - I was really excited to read "Emily and the Magical Journey" after hearing so many great things about it, but I was left feeling disappointed. The plot felt forced and predictable, with no real depth to the characters. The magical elements were also lacking and didn't add much to the overall story. Overall, I felt like this book just fell flat and didn't live up to the hype for me.
