Hello Greendale! I hope you had a wonderful March 32nd yesterday. In honor of this prank-free day at Greendale Community College, let’s talk about the Greendale mascot: The Greendale Human Being.
Back before Dean Pelton changed things, the school’s mascot was a grizzly. Fearing for the students’ fragile self-esteem, the Dean and Pierce Hawthorne created a new mascot to humanize the student body. In their attempt to make the Human Being as racially and ethnically neutral as possible, we ended up with (when you boil it all down) a man in a unitard and a creepy face.
Despite how creepy the Human Being looks, I think we all love him/her/it as fans of Community. Or at the very least we share an affection for our mascot. And throughout the six seasons of Community, we got several variations of the Human Being, making our time at Greendale even more endearing. So enjoy some of my favorite variations of the Greendale Human Being.

The Community human being mascot is the most bizarre and creepy mascot I have ever seen. It gives me the heebie-jeebies every time I see it at school events. The costume looks like a weird mix between a human and an alien, with its exaggerated facial features and overly large head. It definitely does not inspire any school spirit for me, rather it makes me want to run in the opposite direction.

I cannot believe that the Community human being mascot was approved in the first place. It looks absolutely ridiculous and does nothing to represent the school or its values. Instead of being an embodiment of our school spirit, it just comes across as a cheap attempt at attracting attention. The design lacks creativity and is just plain unsettling. I would much prefer a more traditional mascot that actually represents our school pride.

The Community human being mascot is just plain weird. It looks like a character out of a horror movie rather than a mascot for our school. The oversized head and disproportionate limbs are disconcerting, and the fact that it lacks any specific features that represent our school makes it even more pointless. It's definitely not something I would feel proud to have as our mascot.

The Community human being mascot is a joke. It is neither cute nor funny, but simply confusing and off-putting. I still can't wrap my head around why anyone thought this was a good idea. It's a mascot that doesn't even have a mascot-like appearance. It's like they took a failed experiment from a science lab and turned it into our school's symbol. I really hope they reconsider and choose a more appealing and representative mascot in the future.

I find the Community human being mascot to be quite unsettling. The exaggerated features and unnatural proportions make me feel uneasy. It also does not convey any sense of school spirit or pride. I think it's important to have a mascot that embodies the values and personality of the school, but this mascot falls short in both areas. Overall, I'm not a fan of the Community human being mascot.
