Disneyland Magical Extras are special benefits and experiences offered to guests staying at Disneyland Resort hotels. These extras are designed to enhance the magical experience and create lasting memories for visitors. One of the main Magical Extras is the Extra Magic Hour, which allows guests to enter the park one hour before it opens to the general public or stay up to two hours after park closing. This gives guests the opportunity to enjoy popular attractions with shorter wait times and fewer crowds. Another Magical Extra is the Character Wake-Up Call, where popular Disney characters call your hotel room to help you start your day with a smile. This is a fun and interactive way to start the Disney magic right from the moment you wake up.

GMUG Seeks Comment on 2nd Phase of Magic Meadows Trail Project

Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison (GMUG) National Forests’ Norwood Ranger District is seeking public comment on Phase 2 of the Magic Meadows Trail Project, a proposal to realign three miles of National Forest System Trail (NFST) #515 (Magic Meadows Trail), a bike trail located 10 miles south of Telluride, Colorado. A map showing this proposal is available on the following website: https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=54705

The overall objective of the Magic Meadows Trail Project is to create a high quality trail open to mountain bike, horse and foot travel. Phase 2 of the proposed project will realign four existing trail segments, improving their trail surface and incorporating adequate drainage features. The Forest Service tentatively plans to complete this project by November of 2019. Trail construction will be accomplished by Forest Service crews with the assistance of the Southwest Conservation Corps and local volunteer groups.

GMUG is currently implementing Phase 1 of the Magic Meadows Trail Project which involves rerouting and decommissioning trail segments that trespass onto adjacent private land. This first phase will be completed later this fall.

1.6 miles later is another fork. At this fork, take the trail singletrack going off to the left. This part of the trail at the fork will look less ridden than the other option, but it quickly becomes a well-used singletrack again. From this point, there is an awesome 3-mile downhil until you reach Highway 145. Make sure to turn right when you exit the singletrack onto an old and rarely used dirt road about a quarter-mile before the highway. Make sure you don't get run over when crossing Highway 145 and then head left (south) for only a few hundred feet until you see the "Sunshine Trail No. 498" singletrack that drops into the forest to the right. This is just behind the 40 MPH speed limit sign for the highway (was previously 35 MPH, and thus the name T-35).
