Barrows has crafted a serviceable time-travel fantasy with the right amount of moving back and forth Miri s own glasses are her ticket back to the 21st century and reflection on the consequences of changing the past. The gags include effectively placed callbacks to seemingly incidental events the stress lizard brought in on testing day is particularly funny and a lampoon of after-school-special style problem books.

The characters were one-dimensional and I couldn't connect with any of them. The writing style was also very amateurish and the dialogue felt awkward and forced. Overall, I found the book to be a complete waste of time and I would not recommend it to anyone.
