Cloudco Entertainment revealed six new Care Bears: Unlock the Magic animated specials and four new licensing partners for its Care Bears brand, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year.
Care Bears: Unlock the Magic was originally launched in 2019 on Narrative Entertainment’s UK channel, Pop, and UK commercial children’s channel, Tiny Pop. The new specials aim to lean into bigger stories from the Care Bears while remaining true to the look and style of the animated TV series on which they are based. The show’s goal is to captivate existing fans while simultaneously appealing to the next generation.

Care Bears has also developed new partnerships with UK brands including Gibson’s Games for jigsaw puzzles, Flamingo Candles for candles, Pawprint Trading for pin badges and embroidered badges, and Famous Forever for apparel such as T-shirts, hoodies, and sweatshirts.

The first special, Grumpy’s Ginormous Adventure, premiered on Tiny Pop earlier this month. The remaining five will be released later this year.
The Care Bears Announce New Animated TV Content & L&M Licensees for the UK
Cloudco Entertainment, owner of the Care Bears franchise, is proud to announce six all-new animated Care Bears: Unlock the Magic specials set to air on Narrative Entertainment’s commercial children’s channel, Tiny Pop, as well as four new UK-based consumer product licensees. These additions provide further momentum to a brand already experiencing huge growth across all channels and audiences, on TV, in retail, on social media and YouTube, and across audiences of all demographics and genres.
Launched to great fanfare on free-to-air broadcasters Tiny Pop and POP in 2019, Care Bears: Unlock the Magic, will soon add six all-new animated specials to its existing Care Bears content slate, the first of which, “Grumpy’s Ginormous Adventure,” is set to premiere on Tiny Pop on May 20, 2023. The debut of the other specials will be announced shortly, with all of them leaning into bigger, more “theatrical” stories from the Care Bears while nonetheless remaining true to the look and style of the animated TV series on which they are based.
The success of the new Care Bears animated series has helped spark growing fan engagement of the Care Bears brand in the UK. From a good base in 2019, retail sales of Care Bears in the UK have grown 894% to the end of 2022, with further growth forecast in 2023 and notably brisk momentum across high street, grocery, and fast fashion. Capitalizing on that interest, Bulldog Licensing, Care Bears’ UK agent, has recently signed new brand partners, including Gibson’s Games for jigsaw puzzles, Flamingo Candles for candles, Pawprint Trading for pin badges and embroidered badges, and Famous Forever for apparel such as t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatshirts. HBO Max & Cartoon Network Order More ‘Care Bears: Unlock The Magic’ For Cartoonito
More Care Bears: Unlock the Magic is on the way. HBO Max and Cartoon Network have greenlighted six new 22-minute Care Bears: Unlock The Magic specials for the Cartoonito preschool block. Production is currently underway. Additionally, season 1 of the 2D animated series (48 11-minute regular episodes and two 22-minute specials) has been extended into early 2027 for the linear and streaming platforms.
Produced by Cloudco Entertainment, Care Bears: Unlock the Magic follows Cheer Bear, Grumpy Bear, Good Luck Bear, Funshine Bear, and Share Bear and many others as they embark on a new adventure from Care-A-Lot to the Silver Lining, a beautiful exotic world inhabited by the Whiffles, a group of innocently happy creatures that plant seeds to keep the magical land of Care-A-Lot growing.
