It is a time when they can bond and spend quality time together. Maya believes that the magic of mealtime lies in the connections it creates. Another aspect of the magic of mealtime for Maya is the food itself.

MAGIC BOX

Magic Box sessions are fun, interactive story sessions where kids help Lottie, a professional actor, create and tell a story, using the odd things she finds in her Magic Box. Children follow a character into a themed adventure where they can role-play, move around the imaginary space - and sing songs. Each session involves listening, speaking and spatial awareness, and helps children understand simple instructions in a structured, yet fluid, environment. The stories are all original, written by Lottie and her writing partner Rebecca, and really stimulate kids’ imaginations - and entertain the grown-ups! Children are encouraged to contribute to the story and add parts to it, all guided by Lottie. The age range included in each session means kids of different ages take away different experiences from the session. The younger kids enjoy the actions, copying, singing, pretending - and the older ones enjoy these elements too, but also feel confident in contributing to the story. Adults are encouraged to join in with their children, giving the kids confidence to explore the story and a chance for everyone to have fun and 'pretend' together.

About

This is all about me!

Lottie is a professional actor who studied English and Drama at Hull University, and went on to train at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Here, she also continued to practise dance and developed a passion for physical theatre.

She has many years’ experience of performing on stage, in film, television, and on radio.

A few years ago, with two little girls of her own, she remembered how much she loves pretending. Pretending to be anything.

And so she decided to share her pretendings and her making-ups with more little ones. And, hey presto…Magic Box!

She likes tap dancing and reading, but has never tried them at the same time…

I found "Mealtime Magic Maya" to be extremely disappointing. The advertised features of the doll, such as the ability to eat and drink, were very poor and did not work properly. Additionally, the doll itself felt cheaply made and easily broke within a few days of playing with it. The packaging also made it difficult to remove the doll without causing damage. Overall, I would not recommend this toy as it did not live up to its promised features and was not worth the price.

I was not impressed with "Mealtime Magic Maya". The doll did eat and drink, but the mechanism to make it do so was too difficult for young children to operate. Even as an adult, I struggled to get it to work properly. The food and drink accessories were also poorly designed and did not fit securely, often causing spills and messes. The doll itself was also quite plain and lacked any unique features or characteristics. I was definitely underwhelmed by this toy.

I regret purchasing "Mealtime Magic Maya" for my daughter. While the concept of a doll that eats and drinks seemed exciting, the execution fell flat. The doll's mouth did not open wide enough to properly consume the food and drink, resulting in constant frustration. The accessories that came with the doll were also of poor quality and quickly broke. The doll's hair was also difficult to style and became easily tangled. Overall, I found this doll to be a waste of money and would not recommend it to others.
