Ignite Your Child's Love for Reading with the Magic Tree House Leprechaun Books

By admin

The Magic Tree House Leprechaun is one of the many exciting adventures that the siblings Jack and Annie embark on in the popular children's book series by Mary Pope Osborne. In this particular book, the duo travels back in time to ancient Ireland, where they encounter the mischievous leprechaun. As Jack and Annie explore the magical world of leprechauns, they learn about the rich folklore and traditions associated with these mythical creatures. They discover that leprechauns are small, clever beings who are known for their love of treasure and their ability to grant wishes. During their adventure, Jack and Annie encounter a friendly leprechaun named Teddy. Teddy becomes their guide, helping them navigate the enchanted land and teaching them about the importance of friendship and trust.

In fact, many monuments around the world are built to align with the sun on the spring equinox, (as well as with the summer solstice and winter solstice), including Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Stonehenge in England. You don’t need a temple to take part in this spring festival. Spring Equinox celebrations are easy to incorporate into your magickal routine to ground yourself and refresh yourself before summer.

From this point forward, until the summer solstice in June, the days will begin to be longer than the nights, so at the spring equinox, we celebrate the return of the sun, of warmth, and of light. There are eight special moments of change, or Sabbats, that mark the seasons and the turning of the year in pre-Christian European earth-based traditions.

Teddy becomes their guide, helping them navigate the enchanted land and teaching them about the importance of friendship and trust. Together, they embark on a quest to find the four special items that will enable Teddy to return to his rightful place as king of the leprechauns. Throughout the book, the author weaves in interesting facts about Irish culture, history, and legends.

Wheel of the Witch ~ Working Seasonal Magic: Spring Equinox/Ostara

There are eight special moments of change, or Sabbats, that mark the seasons and the turning of the year in pre-Christian European earth-based traditions. The Sabbats are like gateways that are ripe with possibility, each one a time for ritual, for personal magic and collective prayer.

During our sessions, we will learn skills and tools to help us build our own rituals for four of these holy days, drawing on tools of Priestessing, building relationships with ancestors and allies, learning to receive information about what is to come while also gaining courage for stepping into the mystery. We will be working closely with the goddess Brigid and her many incarnations, including the "bridge", the triple goddess, the flame keeper, the blacksmith, the poet, and the one who stands at the cemetery gates and pours the healing waters.

We will meet ahead of these holy days in order to make timely preparations for our personal practices.

Each session is $35.
Friday, March 13th, 6:30-9pm ~ Spring Equinox/Ostara
