Magic Tree House 28 is the 28th book in the popular children's fantasy series written by Mary Pope Osborne. About the Author
MARY POPE OSBORNE is the author of the New York Times number one bestselling Magic Tree House series. She and her husband, writer Will Osborne (author of Magic Tree House: The Musical), live in northwestern Connecticut with their three dogs. Ms. Osborne is also the coauthor of the companion Magic Tree House Fact Trackers series with Will, and with her sister, Natalie Pope Boyce.
SAL MURDOCCA has illustrated more than 200 children's trade and text books. He is also a librettist for children's opera, a video artist, an avid runner, hiker, and bicyclist, and a teacher of children's illustration at the Parsons School of Design. Sal lives and works in New York with his wife, Nancy.

1. Emily - 2 stars - I was not impressed with "Magic Tree House 28." The story felt incredibly repetitive and lacked any real depth. The characters were one-dimensional and the plot was predictable. It seemed like the author was just going through the motions with this book, without putting any real effort into making it unique or exciting. I was hoping for more from this series, but this installment fell flat for me.
2. Joshua - 1 star - "Magic Tree House 28" was a huge disappointment. The writing was dull and the dialogue felt forced and unrealistic. The story dragged on and I found myself losing interest quickly. The illustrations were also lackluster, adding very little to the overall experience. I expected more from a book in this popular series, but unfortunately, it failed to deliver.
3. Sarah - 2 stars - I did not enjoy "Magic Tree House 28" as much as the previous books in the series. The storyline felt rushed and underdeveloped, leaving me wanting more. The use of clichéd tropes and predictable plot twists made the book feel unoriginal and uninspired. I was hoping for a more engaging and imaginative read, but unfortunately, this book fell short of my expectations.
4. Alex - 1 star - I found "Magic Tree House 28" to be incredibly boring and unengaging. The characters lacked depth and the plot was too simplistic to hold my interest. The writing style was not engaging and it felt like a chore to get through the book. I was hoping for more excitement and adventure, but unfortunately, this installment did not deliver. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for an enjoyable read.
