Magic Mary 29x2.6 is a popular mountain bike tire that offers excellent performance and versatility. With its wide width of 2.6 inches, it provides ample grip and stability on various terrains. The tall knobs dig deep into the ground, allowing riders to confidently navigate through loose and steep terrains.

Along with revamping their compounds Schwalbe added the Big Betty tires to the lineup. For our shootout we ran Schwalbe’s Magic Mary Super Trail casing up front and the Big Betty in the Super Gravity casing on rear. The crew at Schwalbe knew the relatively lightweight combination would be pushed to their limits in the harsh conditions of the Greater Zion, Utah aboard our heavy eMTBs, yet they simply smirked and said, we’ll send extras just in case, but we think you’ll be happy. They were right.

The 94 Super Gravity casing consists of four main carcass layers plus the cut-resistant Snakeskin fabric, with Apex sidewall protection and a Kevlar bead. The fully siped tread that evenly dots an armored Schwalbe Magic Mary carcass resembles traditional motocross traction more than most mountain bike tires.

Reviews for "The Magic Mary 29x2.6: A Tire for All Weather Conditions"

1) John - 2/5 stars
I recently purchased the Magic Mary 29x2.6 and I must say that I am not impressed. The tire performs poorly on wet and muddy trails, causing me to slip and slide constantly. The grip is simply not up to par with other tires in this category. Furthermore, the durability of the tire leaves much to be desired. After just a few rides, I noticed significant wear and tear, with chunks of rubber missing from the tread. Overall, I would not recommend the Magic Mary 29x2.6 for anyone looking for a reliable and durable tire.
2) Sarah - 1/5 stars
I had high hopes for the Magic Mary 29x2.6, but I was sorely disappointed. The tire is extremely heavy, making it difficult to maneuver on the trails. The rolling resistance is also noticeably high, resulting in slower speeds and more effort required to pedal. Additionally, the tire lacks puncture protection, leading to multiple flats during my rides. Overall, I found the Magic Mary 29x2.6 to be a poor choice in terms of performance and reliability.
3) Mark - 3/5 stars
The Magic Mary 29x2.6 is a decent tire, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The grip is adequate on dry trails, but it tends to struggle on loose gravel and rocky terrain. I also experienced a fair amount of sidewall flex, which affected the overall stability and control of my bike. While it's not the worst tire I've used, I believe there are better options available in the market that offer superior performance and durability.
