Following a delightful set of tunes from Austin’s own Mariachi Los Toros and remarks from KLRU-TV CEO Bill Stotesbery and ACL executive producer Terry Lickona, host Chris Isaak took the stage to introduce the first honoree: singing/songwriting/piano-pounding ATX veteran Marcia Ball. Inducted by her longtime friend and collaborator Irma Thomas, the Soul Queen of New Orleans, Ball gave a lovely speech that paid tribute to her inspirations (including Thomas), her family and band, and music charities HAAM, HOME and SIMS. She took her seat behind the piano and introduced Thomas and singer Tracy Nelson. Together the trio reprised their 1998 appearance on ACL with the joyful “Sing It,” the title track from their Grammy-nominated collaboration of the same name. The threesome went back to the blues for the shuffling “I Want to Do Everything For You,” from the same record. Ball then brought up her old friend and Austin treasure Lou Ann Barton, along with next-generation blues singers Shelley King and Carolyn Wonderland. Together the sextet paid tribute to Dreams Come True , the 1990 album Ball and Barton made with the sadly absent Angela Strehli, rolling through Ike Turner’s classic “Fool in Love.” Ball, King, Wonderland, Nelson and Thomas closed out the segment with the funky, uplifting “Shine Bright,” the title tune to Ball’s latest record, and proof that she’s as vital an artist now as she’s ever been.

He wasn t satisfied only displaying his keyboard skills, though the Grammy-winning jazz and R B musician challenged the Grammy-laden rapper to a one-sided rap battle. Equally genre-agnostic singer and songwriter Ruthie Foster put her remarkable voice to the service of Georgia On My Mind, Hoagy Carmichael s immortal standard that will forever be associated with Charles though Foster s gospel-influenced reading gave the master a run for his money.

Reviews for "Spice Up Your Kitchen Decor with Linen Tea Towels in Vibrant Colors"

1. John - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with the Magic Linen Tea Towels. I had heard great things about them, but when I received them, they were not as absorbent as I had hoped. Even after several uses and washes, they still didn't do a great job at drying my dishes. Additionally, the fabric felt rough against my hands, and I didn't find them comfortable to use. Overall, I wouldn't recommend these tea towels.
2. Emily - 1/5 stars - These Magic Linen Tea Towels were a complete waste of money for me. They claim to be highly absorbent, but I found them to be the opposite. No matter how many times I tried using them, they simply pushed water around instead of absorbing it. The quality of the fabric was also disappointing; it started to fray after only a few uses. I ended up having to buy new tea towels from a different brand, and I'm much happier with those.
3. Sarah - 3/5 stars - I had mixed feelings about the Magic Linen Tea Towels. While they are visually appealing and come in a variety of beautiful colors, I found that they didn't perform as well as I expected. The absorption was average at best, and I had to use multiple towels to dry a single load of dishes. The fabric did soften a bit after several washes, but I still found it to be a bit too rough for my liking. Overall, they are decent tea towels, but I've had better ones for a lower price.
4. David - 2/5 stars - I bought the Magic Linen Tea Towels based on the rave reviews I saw online, but they didn't live up to the hype for me. The fabric felt very stiff and scratchy against my skin, and it didn't get any better after washing them. The absorbency was mediocre, and I found that they left streaks on glassware instead of drying them effectively. I regret spending the money on these towels and would not recommend them.
