On the off chance that any of the devs browse these discussions, I figured I would report all the glitches that I encountered during my time playing that I would like to be fixed. I'll keep it to the ones that affect gameplay, so no visual bugs here. I didn't write down every glitch I encountered so it's possible I'm forgetting some. If I remember any later, I'll add a comment explaining it. 1. Hacking to change your elemental attack's element does not work. I was using a Brawler with Clover Cutter and us.

Despite everything, I hope you've all been enjoying it so far; I wanted to update about a few things in general: First, something important in regards to the pace of which we can make fixes. Our lead programmer, Nathan, is at the time of this post, very enveloped in another work project, and there.

OK so for some reason in the 4th round of player battles, my game keeps soft locking. Nylocke gets turned into a flower, but his avatar is still there with a flower in front of him. FlameGirl gets flowered too, and for some reason after a few turns everyone just stops. Music keeps playing, characters stay idle, but no prompts or attacks from enemies happen and I'm forced to reset the game. however i need to do ALL of the player battles over again because there's no save point from the beginning of the mi.

My boyfriend just got the ancient shutter from the Giga-x fight I was wondering if anyone else got all the mystery cubes and fought Giga-X or whatever he's called to get the ancient shutter. We aren't sure what it does, but it seems to replace the mystery cubes on the bottom screen, so we thought maybe it's similar to the cubes as a key item that has significance of some kind later. Given the image that it shows when you get it we think it might have somethin.

Right before the fight with Silicarnage you have to choose your party, I've tried many combinations to see if I could get past but every time it freezes after the first other member after you speaks up. I previously suffer from the tutorial softlocks and post battle softlocks so I had already previously had to wait for an update to be able to progress. The person who speaks up is either Alpha, Kirb, or Flamegirl depending on who is in the party. This appears at the end of the output log and looks relevant.

This guy puts a big smile on my face. I remember being annoyed at him first in the show, but after a few episodes he became my favourite character.

I became a fan of TOME back when the latest episode of the web series was #13. I had no idea there was a game until recently, but I'm really glad I played it. Though it's a different canon, I'm perfectly fine with just about all of the changes. The story is the best part, which is par for the course in this genre. The gameplay itself is reminiscent of Super Mario RPG, and it shows in the little references here and there. Plus, every single line of dialogue was voiced and sounds great! That's something not even modern AAA devs can regularly accomplish. The voice direction knocked it out of the park! I highly, highly recommend this game for that alone.

That said, there are a couple points to note that may turn people off the title.

-There is a bug with the Flower status where both character models appear at once and confuses the game, and if a battle drags on long enough it can softlock. It's been reported (and will probably only appear a few times in a playthrough anyway), so if there's an update that fixes it since the time of writing, disregard this.

-The original web series aired beginning in 2011 and was set in 2020. This game does the same, though now with tiny references to the pandemic sprinkled in. Allusions to real-world events might be a pass for some people, but I feel like they'd be missing out on the rest of the story.

-The combat VERY NEARLY reaches modern Paper Mario levels of pointless: fight for money to use on items for more fights. Character progression is tied to finding equipment and learning skills in dojos, neither of which come from random encounters. The only reason the combat doesn't cross that line is because you can also purchase certain equipment plus key items for a side quest. But once you unlock gambling it's all over for voluntary battles: save-scum 'til you have max cash and skip away.

So yeah, those are my thoughts. Also Nylocke is the best character hands down.
