The Backyardigans is a popular children's television series that aired from 2004 to 2010. The show followed a group of five friends who transformed their backyard into an imaginary world where they went on exciting adventures. One particular episode titled "The Magic Skateboards" showcased the group's love for skateboarding. In this episode, the Backyardigans - Pablo the penguin, Tyrone the moose, Uniqua the pink creature, Tasha the hippo, and Austin the kangaroo - find themselves in a desert landscape. With their active imaginations, they envision a skate park in the middle of the desert. But to their surprise, they discover that ordinary skateboards do not work in this imaginary world.

It doesn t matter how good you are, if the right people aren t seeing you then you won t get recruited to play college soccer or scouted to play pro soccer. If you are not in the top three players on your team and you don t train a lot on your own that is okay but you probably are not good enough and committed enough to be pro.
But to their surprise, they discover that ordinary skateboards do not work in this imaginary world. Fortunately, their brightly colored skateboards are transformed into magical skateboards by an enchanted fairy named Nalalie (voiced by Alicia Keys). With these special skateboards, the Backyardigans are able to perform incredible jumps, flips, and tricks that were previously impossible.
Magic soccer tryouts
The 2023 - 2024 season officially begins after teams selections are completed in June and runs through April 2024.
We strongly recommend registering for tryouts ahead of time to receive updates directly. All players must register online prior to taking the field for tryouts to be in our system for the team selection process.
There is a one-time $10 tryout registration fee.
No player will be allowed to tryout without going through the registration process and completing online registration.

TEAM FORMATION FOR ALL AGE GROUPS IS FINALIZED
COMPETITIVE PROGRAM COSTS
CLUB FEES:
Club Fees are due at the time of registration. Club fees cover the cost of coaches, fields, league fees, and player registration.
Payments can be made by credit card or by check. Two installment payment plans are available. The club will also work with families that need financial aid.
TEAM FEES:
Team fees are a separate cost and are not included in the Club Fees. Team fees are agreed upon at a team level and cover costs for tournaments, team events, coach travel costs, and so on.
A deposit of team fees will be due by July 1st. The balance of teams fees are due at the Introductory Team Meeting. Meetings will be scheduled in early August.
UNIFORM COSTS:
Magic uniform requirements consist of training uniforms and game uniforms. The club is on a two-year uniform cycle. Uniform sizing and ordering will occur in the beginning of the season. However, a player can purchase replacement uniforms at any time. This cost is separate from club and team fees.
TRYOUT REGISTRATION: Tryout registration is open and available online until the night before the final session. All players must complete the registration form in order to be in the system for offer communication and team selection. There are no walk-up registrations.
TRYOUT SESSIONS: Traditionally, player field evaluation will occur during the tryout sessions.

TEAM SELECTED: Our staff strives to notify ALL players as soon as possible of their placement. Our goal is to have the entire process completed within 14 days of the first session.
