Lorain Road Technical Assistance Study
This past spring, the City of Fairview Park was awarded a Planning for Infill Development Building Blocks Technical Assistance Grant from the US EPA Office of Sustainable Communities. Through the grant, the City was able to receive assistance from the US EPA and their professional planning consultant, Renaissance Planning, to examine Lorain Road. The result of that technical assistance, which included two days of public workshops, is a Next Steps Memorandum.
This Memorandum documents the key outcomes of the technical assistance for the City with the Planning for Infill Development tool developed by the US EPA, and identifies key community issues, prioritized strategies, and specific actions to create a downtown through infill redevelopment along the Lorain Road corridor.
On behalf of Mayor Cooney, thank you to everyone that participated in the study. The City Administration is beginning work to implement the strategies set forth in the memo.
