The Spellbinding Scent of Viktor and Rolf MGIC

By admin

Viktor & Rolf is a renowned fashion brand known for their avant-garde and innovative designs. Their latest fragrance line called "Magic" is an exceptional addition to the brand's portfolio. The Viktor & Rolf Magic collection consists of six fragrances, each with its own distinctive scent and enchanting qualities. The Viktor & Rolf Magic collection is inspired by the idea of illusion and the power of imagination. The fragrances are designed to transport the wearer to a magical realm where dreams become reality. Each scent tells a unique story and captivates the senses with its alluring composition.

“They’ve been working with us to develop a magic box and the technicality of that merchandising,” Pinet said, stressing that more retail square footage (at least one back wall and one case line) is necessary to convey the narrative of magic through the point of sale.

Created in partnership with four all-female perfumers from Firmenich, Givaudan and International Flavors Fragrances, the formulas were, indeed, out of the ordinary. Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren of Viktor Rolf might have retired from ready-to-wear they still design couture and bridal collections , but the duo is upping the ante of their fragrance business.

Each scent tells a unique story and captivates the senses with its alluring composition. The first fragrance in the Magic collection is "Dirty Trick," which combines the warmth of iris and incense with the freshness of green notes. It is a mysterious and seductive scent that leaves a trail of intrigue.

Viktor & Rolf Magic Sage Spell Actually Smells Enchanting

TL;DR:

An herbaceous, citrusy-smelling perfume that's powerful — and a little taboo

It is, in general, not advised to light things on fire in your place of employment. But I was lucky enough to have once had a boss who didn’t really care about things being generally advised. She was a magic, self-described “woo-woo” leader who spritzed an “infinite love” mist in the conference room before meetings, helped me and my fellow editors interpret our natal astrological charts, and taught me how to clear away any out-of-sorts energy with a sage smudge stick (a bundle of dried sage leaves you light then let smoke as you wave it around the room or your body).

Unfortunately, as much fun as it is to sneak around with a sage stick, and even though I am fully convinced that it really does ward off bad juju or, at the very least, bacteria (I learned that white sage contains antimicrobial properties while I was completing aromatherapy certification), smudging it won’t fly in 99 public scenarios out of a hundred. But Viktor & Rolf’s Sage Spell perfume, part of the brand’s aptly named Magic collection, lets me waft a little sage around all day long. That is, without getting in trouble for being some sort of pyromaniacal aspiring sorceress.

The absinthe-and-sage scent has a clean, green aroma that calls to mind a very chic aftershave. And despite the femininity that its gold-plated, elegantly scripted, celadon-tinted flacon telegraphs, the scent is decidedly unisex and unsweet. In fact, its herbaceous, citrus-drenched sillage is so unapologetically powerful at first spritz that it needs to be applied with a bit of care. This is not the thing to mist with abandon before entering a confined space like a car or elevator, particularly if other unsuspecting humans will be with you. Like fancy wine, it’s at its best when it has a little time to breathe. Or, in this case, work its magic.

Horsting maintained the duo has “always played with the idea of magic, imagination, fantasy [and] creation.”

"Sparkling Secret" is another fragrance in the collection that captures the essence of a sparkling champagne toast. It is a playful and effervescent scent with notes of pink pepper, sweet orange, and rose. "Mystic Caravan" is a fragrance that evokes the imagery of a mysterious and captivating caravan. It combines the smokiness of incense with the sweetness of orange blossom, creating a mesmerizing and exotic scent. In contrast, "Liquid Diamonds" is a fragrance that represents purity and elegance. It combines the freshness of neroli with the softness of rose, creating a refined and sophisticated scent. "Flowerbomb Midnight" is an intense and sensual fragrance that captures the essence of a vibrant and lively night. It combines the sweetness of blackcurrant with the floral notes of night-blooming jasmine and peony. The last fragrance in the Magic collection is "Lavender Illusion," which pays homage to the classic scent of lavender but with a modern and unexpected twist. It combines the freshness of lavender with the warmth of tonka bean and vanilla. Overall, the Viktor & Rolf Magic collection is a testament to the brand's creativity and ability to create magical experiences through scent. Each fragrance in the collection offers a unique olfactory journey, inviting the wearer to embrace their imagination and embrace the magic of life..

I was really disappointed with Viktor and Rolf's MGIC fragrance. I had high expectations based on the brand's reputation, but the scent fell flat for me. It had a very generic, synthetic smell that reminded me of cheap drugstore perfumes. The longevity was also quite poor, as the scent seemed to fade away within an hour or so. Overall, I would not recommend this fragrance if you're looking for something unique and long-lasting.

I found Viktor and Rolf's MGIC fragrance to be just average. The scent itself was decent, but nothing special or memorable. It had a floral undertone mixed with some sweet notes, but it lacked complexity and depth. The longevity was moderate, lasting for a few hours before fading away. I feel like there are plenty of other fragrances out there that offer much better value for the price.

Viktor and Rolf's MGIC fragrance didn't live up to the hype for me. The scent was underwhelming and did not stand out among other perfumes I have tried. I found it to be quite forgettable, as it didn't leave a lasting impression. Additionally, the packaging felt cheap and flimsy, which was disappointing considering the higher price point. Overall, I regret purchasing this fragrance and would not repurchase or recommend it to others.

I was quite disappointed with Viktor and Rolf's MGIC fragrance. The scent was overpowering and gave me a headache whenever I wore it. The combination of notes was too strong and didn't blend well together. It was also quite heavy, making it unsuitable for everyday wear. I ended up giving it away to a friend who enjoyed the boldness of the fragrance, but it definitely wasn't for me.
