The Magic of the Festive Witch Dalea Faulkner: Spells for Love and Happiness

By admin

The festive witch Dalea Faulkner is an intriguing character in folklore. She is known for her enchanting powers and mischievous personality. Dalea is usually depicted as a young, beautiful witch with flowing red hair and sparkling green eyes. During the annual festival in her honor, she roams the village, spreading joy and excitement among the townspeople. One of the main reasons Dalea is admired is her ability to bring gifts to children during the festival. She is believed to possess magical powers that allow her to enter homes undetected and leave presents for the little ones.

She is believed to possess magical powers that allow her to enter homes undetected and leave presents for the little ones. These gifts are often small trinkets or sweets, but they fill the children's hearts with happiness and wonder. As the festival approaches, the villagers eagerly await Dalea's arrival.

Magic Bath Bomb from Lush

The Magic Bath Bomb had been on my desperately in search of list for quite some time. Every time it had previously appeared in the Lush Kitchen I had unfortunately not been able to get it. Too much month at the end of the money and all that…

My luck however changed in the last week of June 2016, the Magic bath bomb once again became available from the Lush Kitchen.

Upon opening my Lush Kitchen order of the Magic bath bombs, I was taken aback by the strength of their scent. I had asked for the new catalogue to be included in this order too. To my surprise the new catalogue seemed to have absorbed Magic’s scent. Even almost 2 weeks after separating the catalogue and Magic bath bombs I can still detect the scent of the bath bombs on that catalogue!

As soon as the Magic bath bomb comes into contact with the bathwater it begins to fizz away ferociously, completely dissolving within a minute or two. It isn’t long after you place the bath bomb in your bath tub, that you realise why this bath bomb is called ‘Magic’.

The Magic bath bomb is an hexagonal prism shape which is identical to the, The Experimenter bath bomb.

As the external blue layer of the Magic bath bomb quickly dissolves away you catch a glimpse of its insides. A deep, dark purple makes an appearance adding depth to the colours of the bath water.

Once the Magic bath bomb is completely dissolved you are left with the most mesmerising bath water. The photo’s I took do it no justice at all. The Magic bath bomb is definitely one you need to see for yourself.

At first I wasn’t that impressed with the Magic bath bombs scent, it was however completely different once in the bath. It actually helped me wind down and relax after what turned out to be the most stressful week I have had for a very long time.

The most prominent ingredient in Magic is probably the peppermint oil. It however isn’t like any of the minty products I have used before as it also has a herbal and floral tone to it. It reminds me of the freshly prepared vegetables that my mum does whenever we go over to hers for a roast dinner. Which I get doesn’t sound like a very desirable or inviting bath BUT, whatever is in the Magic bath bomb, vegetables or not, it really, really works.

Once the Magic bath bomb has all fizzled away, you are left with a single piece of parsley.

This was a complete surprise for me and I think the ‘veg scent’ I speak about above is because of the parsley. I am however rubbish at identifying scents so I could be VERY wrong.

Overall I am very impressed with the Magic bath bomb which was a pleasant surprise for me as I honestly thought I’d hate it. Sometimes a Lush product takes a little time to grow on you. Magic was most certainly the best name that Lush could have given this bath bomb, it really is spectacular!

1. Sarah - 2/5 stars - I was really looking forward to reading "The Festive Witch" by Dalea Faulkner during the holiday season, but I was thoroughly disappointed. The story lacked depth and the characters felt one-dimensional. The plot was predictable and I found myself losing interest midway through the book. Overall, it left a lot to be desired and I wouldn't recommend it.
2. Mark - 1/5 stars - I couldn't even finish "The Festive Witch" by Dalea Faulkner. The writing was subpar and the dialogue felt forced and unrealistic. I found the main character to be completely unrelatable and the whole story just didn't capture my attention. It was a struggle to get through even a few chapters, and I ultimately decided it wasn't worth my time.
3. Jennifer - 2/5 stars - "The Festive Witch" by Dalea Faulkner had an interesting concept, but unfortunately, it failed to deliver. The pacing was off, with some parts dragging on while others felt rushed. The world-building felt underdeveloped, and I never felt fully immersed in the magical elements of the story. Additionally, the romance subplot felt forced and lacked chemistry. Overall, it was a mediocre read that left me wanting more from the author.
