The Artistic Allure of Saint Kate's Curves

By admin

The curves of Saint Kate are a remarkable aspect of her physical appearance. Much like a work of art, her curves are beautifully sculpted and add to her overall allure and elegance. These curves are a testament to the beauty of the female form and are often admired by those who are fortunate enough to catch a glimpse. Saint Kate's curves are soft and feminine, flowing gracefully from one point to another. Whether it's her slender waistline, rounded hips, or shapely thighs, each curve is perfectly balanced and harmonious. They enhance her natural beauty and make her stand out among others.

I picked this up with a few other bits and bobs. Been thinking about it for ages and figured why not.

Produce Flame vs. Magic Stone

As someone who regularly plays Druids, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on the classes capabilities. That being said, I always have a hard time overcoming the lack of sustained long-ranged options available.

I mostly play Shepherds, but all non-moon Druids share a reliance on maintaining concentration for combat effectiveness. I find it useful to maintain distance or elevation to minimize the risk of concentration-loss. This doesn't always work especially well with Produce Flame's limited range. Past 30ft, there don't seem to be a lot of options. Sure it's certainly possible to just Dodge or Hide every turn while concentrating, but that's not exactly the most helpful way to spend an action.

There are also levelled spells with longer ranges, but that's not efficient, especially at lower levels. Druids don't natively get proficiency with ranged weapons with normal ranges past 30ft. Thrown items like Acid Vials have a 30ft range. Feats that either give Ranged Weapon proficiencies or cantrips from other classes do solve this, but a feat is a huge investment and probably not worth it just for sustained non-concentration combat damage or utility. Their 60ft cantrips are Create Bonfire (req. concentration), Frostbite (req. Con save for any damage, so very unreliable), and Magic Stone. Since Magic Stone and Produce Flame are both 'attack' cantrips, it's probably better to pick one rather than both.

Here's a Strawpoll: https://www.strawpoll.me/45456664

Produce Flame

Pros:
Uses a d8 for damage
Damage scales with level
Produces light (can be a con)

Cons:
30ft range
Spell specifies target of attack as a creature

Magic Stone

Pros:
60ft range
Damage scales with spellcasting ability
Stones can be given to someone else to attack with (can summon Baboons to throw stones for DIY multi-attack)
Target of attack is not specified as a creature (can attack items, for example)

Cons:
Uses both a bonus action and action to cast and attack (every 3 stones)
Requires stones
Uses d6 for damage

Druidcraft can light fires, making the light aspect of Produce Flame not exactly necessary. Both have their pros and cons, but seems like it's ultimately a comparison of range vs ease of use.
I'm wondering what other Druids think of this, or if anyone has found other solutions or ideas that aren't race, feat, or magic item dependent.
