Mech Build - Aerial Rebuild (Gundam The Witch From Mercury)

Just ran my first game of LANCER this week after the Witch from Mercury got me hyped about Mechs and was entertained by u/Rayar32 's recent post . The build they made was incredibly narratively satisfying, but the final build is mechanically cumbersome with the beautiful representation of the absurd amount of drones the Aerial controls.

Here is a take on a more mechanically fine-tuned LL6 build to represent the 'XVX-016RN Gundam Aerial Rebuild' in all of her overpowered glory. To properly represent the overpowered potential the mech represents in that series, this re-build of the re-build will do the same, trying to min/max the mech a little while still putting forwards the right flavor to represent the Gundam’s various systems.

Frame White Witch: A perfect frame to host a witch from mercury. Size 2 and Guardian are a better representation of the 18m sheer scale of the Aerial. This build will feature a lot of limited systems and heat usage, so it will feature a 4 in engineering (remaining 4 points in Systems), combined with Integrated Ammo Feeds for a +4 limited systems bonus.

Aerial Mobility The 'XCX-016RN Aerial Rebuild' is ridiculously mobile with an integrated flight system. To represent this agility with the following features:

  • All-Theater Movement Suite (Core Bonus). Provides low heat flight for the large frame.
  • Ace 1: (Talent): Accuracy on agility checks and saves is appropriate, plus extra movement when the enemy misses will further allow for weaving around during battle.
  • Reactive Weave (Metal Mark LL1). Free movement on a brace.
  • Base speed 6 (White Witch Frame). High base movement.

GUND-Format The Gund format enables the mech to dominate other mechs in the anime with faster and more precise actions and attacks. A system that killed many pilots during its development, it was banned by the Benerit Group, and those that pursued the technology were labeled as Witches. The Aerial Rebuild’s GUND-Format also includes a level of AI that further enhances its capabilities.

This improved action economy through an AI system is best represented through the:

  • ASURA NHP (Sherman LL3). The ASURA NHP also caused the deaths of many pilots during its development, so it might have a similar public image in some parts of Union Space. Like Aerial’s GUND format, it enables serious multi-tasking. (5 uses)
  • Redundant Systems Upgrade (Sherman LL2), as well as +4 Heatcap through an Engineering score of 4. This further boosts the Aerial’s combat speed by reducing the action cost of stabilizing. (5 uses)
  • Systems 4 provides a representation of the E-Def and tech attack that the GUND-Format’s datastorm enables. Though this build doesn’t feature any special tech attacks, the +4 to tech attacks makes the Fragment Signal invasion option viable, especially as Nuclear Cavalier will enable the beam Saber to deal 2 heat alongside the INVADE heat.

Weapons

  • Beam Rifle: Engineer 2 (Talent) for a 1d6+2 Integrated Energy Rifle with Smart, Accurate, and Range 10. (1d6+6 uses)
  • Beam Saber: Tempest Charge Blade (Superheavy Melee) plus Executioner 3 (Talent). The Beam Saber is often responsible for finishing fights in a climatic fashion, so an enormous 3d6+4 energy swing seems appropriate.
  • Nuclear Cavalier 2 for +1d6 energy damage and +2 heat damage when in the danger zone to boost the output of both systems.
  • If you feel like for a particular mission you want the beam rifle to be superheavy and the beam saber to be the sidearm, you can take a Tachyon Lance in the superheavy slot and make the Integrated weapon be melee instead of a rifle.

Gund-Bits The 11 Gun-Bits of the Aerial are able to provide light laser fire support.

  • Turret Drones system serves as a method to produce the Gund-bit fire support. (7 uses).
  • Drone Commander 1 (Shepard) doubles the hp of the drones and allows them to be moved as the Aerial does, representing the way they keep up with the Mech in the series.

Gund-Bit Shield The second use of the Gund-Bits for the aerial is to provide a dynamic shielding system for the mech, saving it time and time again from lethal hits that would disable other mechs. Our Aerial only has 10hp, so it needs this active defense to survive. This active shield is represented by the following features.

  • Harden (White Witch Frame feature): Provides 7 over-shield before the mech takes damage on a brace.
  • Reactive Weave: Grants invisibility on a brace, making the mech difficult to further damage. Represents the obscurement the GUND-BITs produce when they deflect the weapons of other mechs.
  • Ferroreactive Armor: +1 Armor when the mech takes damage, to a maximum of 6. Each doubled with the Core Power. Represents the Gund-Bits getting better and smarter at negating the attacks of an enemy mech.
  • Fluid Burst: Defends an ally mech within range 2, taking 1 point of damage from the attack instead of them. Represents a Gund-Bit intercepting a little bit of damage going towards an ally.
  • Type-3 Projected Shield: +2 difficulty on attacks against yourself or a chosen ally for the cost of 1 heat. Represents the GUND-bits focusing on providing a shield for the Aerial.

Reviews for "Fascinating Flavor Profiles: Exploring Black Magic Coffee K-Cups"

1. John - 2/5 - I was really excited to try the Black Magic coffee k cups as I had heard great things about it. However, I found the taste to be really bitter and overpowering. It left a strong aftertaste that lingered in my mouth for hours. I also didn't find it to be as strong as I was expecting. Overall, I was really disappointed with this coffee and wouldn't recommend it to others who prefer a milder and more balanced flavor.
2. Sarah - 1/5 - I have tried many different coffee brands and flavors, but the Black Magic coffee k cups were by far the worst I have ever tasted. The coffee had a very strong and unpleasant smell, almost like burnt beans. The taste was equally disappointing, with a bitter and acidic flavor that was undrinkable for me. I couldn't even finish my first cup and ended up throwing the rest of the box away. I wouldn't recommend this coffee to anyone unless you enjoy the taste of burnt coffee.
3. Mike - 3/5 - While the Black Magic coffee k cups weren't terrible, they definitely didn't live up to the hype for me. The initial smell was promising, with a rich and robust aroma, but the taste fell short. The coffee was too bitter for my liking, and I found it to be too strong even with adding extra cream and sugar. I have had other dark roast coffees that were much smoother and more enjoyable. Overall, I won't be repurchasing these k cups and will stick to my usual brand.
