Discover the Dark Magic of These 10 Witchy Fashion Brands

By admin

Witchy fashion brands have become increasingly popular in recent years, with many people embracing the aesthetic and symbolism associated with witchcraft and mysticism. These brands offer unique and enchanting clothing and accessories that cater to individuals who are drawn to the dark and mysterious. One of the most well-known witchy fashion brands is Killstar. This brand incorporates occult symbols, pentagrams, and celestial motifs into their designs, creating pieces that exude a sense of magic and power. They offer a wide range of clothing options, from dresses and tops to leggings and accessories, all with a gothic twist. Another popular witchy fashion brand is The Rogue + The Wolf.

The Modern Witches Guide to Slow Fashion

I’ve always been a little witchy, from the moment I came into this world with a full head of dark hair and an intense, direct demeanor. I’m a scorpio sun, aries rising, sagittarius moon, projector born on October 31st. I’m a Halloween baby and you better believe I have leaned hard into my birthright. While in university I took an esoteric course called the Epistemology and Metaphysics of Witchcraft. I’ve also found time to study psychic arts, human design, tarot card reading and I’m a certified reiki master.

You could say I was born to be a witch, then became enchanted by the fashion world, and later was called to care about sustainability and this fragile biosphere where we live our lives. It is through this triad of interests and on this eve of mischief that I invite you into my magical world.

To begin, take a deep breath and set an intention to lean in to your inner style witch. She whispers her truth to you and calls you home through the textures you gravitate towards, the colours you see when you close your eyes, and the vision you have of your true self. I hope you connect with her and find inspiration as you dig into these slow fashion witch archetypes. You may resonate with more than one.

THE CRAFTY WITCH

The crafty witch embraces slow fashion because she makes some of the garments she wears. She carefully chooses fabric, works with or drafts her owns patterns, and mends the things she loves. She appreciates textures and understands the amount of time and intention it takes to create something beautiful. She knows that when love, sweat and tears (this can happen when a needle breaks or a sleeve is somehow sewn on backwards) are imbued into the creation of a scarf, dress, or blouse, the garment somehow feels and looks better.

I’m sure the sewists, crafters, and artists among you are familiar with the concept of Make do and Mend, which originated in WWII when clothing was being rationed. People cared for and patched up their worn pieces to extend their usefulness. Even if you’re a novice crafty witch you can still take the time to pull the pieces you adore out of your closet and look them over to see if they need a little love. You can sew on loose buttons, mend holes that mysteriously appeared, or alter your pieces. If you’re a crafty witch in-training take pieces in to your local tailor to have them hemmed and fitted.

One slow Toronto-based brand that I love, Hoibo, is all about building a thoughtful wardrobe. They often host events that teach beginners how to mend their beloved garments. Keep an eye on Hoibo’s Instagram for up and coming classes and videos and visit their true love lasts blogs posts. Historical sewing enthusiast and youtuber Bernadette Banner has a DIY witch hat video for the discerning witchling, perfect for those of you who are in the mood to tackle an intricate sewing project.

THE ELEGANT WITCH

The elegant witch is sensual, she aspires to look and feel put together, but she isn’t in a rush to do so. Her tastes are discerning, timeless and her cat eye is flawless because she takes the time to do it right. In her slowness she slays. Baker, artist and all-around renaissance woman Christine McConnell is the epitome of an elegant witch. She is thoughtful and poised, and she adorns herself in gorgeous, vintage inspired frocks of her own design. If her retro 50’s glam look resonates with you, you can embrace slow elegance by shopping vintage.

Another popular witchy fashion brand is The Rogue + The Wolf. Known for their intricate and avant-garde designs, this brand creates statement jewelry and accessories inspired by witchcraft and mythology. Their pieces often feature symbolism such as moons, crows, and witchy spellbooks, making them perfect for those who want to add a touch of magic to their outfits.

does anyone know any good witch house / similar clothing stores?

i've been looking everywhere for good witchy clothing stores, but it's hard to find stores that aren't ridiculously expensive, ship to my country australia (without costing a fortune), provide men's fashion, and haven't been taken down from the internet. because of this, i mostly just settled for the lower quality clothes i'd find on places like ebay and wish, but those places don't provide clothes that look as beautiful as the ones on NVRMND and the night of the wolves (which recently went offline. )

would anyone know any good (hopefully cheaper) stores that can match NVRMND, the night of the wolves, and maybe bird ov prey?

The Night of the Wolves hasn't changed much. I just switched it over to Etsy under the new name Witch Fashion - http://www.etsy.com/shop/witchfashion Shipping outside the U.S. is $10, but the shirt prices are a bit lower than they used to be. Hopefully I'll be adding sweaters again in the near future.

Some other cool shops with a witchy vibe that I know of that aren't super expensive and do worldwide shipping would be - http://blvck.pl/ and http://www.abvhvn.com/

They both have Etsy shops as well.

Hey ONEIROI, nice to find another Australian here. Did you end up finding any good sites? It seems like Beserk has the market share here, not that many other alt stores and all of the occult/metaphysical shops don't really cater to men's fashion.

BTW, what part of the country are you in? I'm in Brisbane.

I've had a merch store selling occult themed clothing designs since 2007 - it was small run t-shirts at first but then I branched out to print on demand via redbubble - it's a little more expensive than I'd like (and my profit margin is very small), but it allows me to put a lot of my designs on a wider range of clothing and other items and they ship international: https://www.redbubble.com/people/Imago-Mortis/shop

There are T-shirts, hoodies, leggings, masks, bags, stickers, clocks, notepads, phone cases, stickers, masks, badges, prints, posters etc.

If you see that someone who sells witch clothes is missing, learn screen printing and a little design friend!

There's some nice designs there, especially the Tarot based ones. Prices and shipping are quite reasonable and it's interesting you can pick the print location and the shirt colour. Do Redbubble print local to wherever the order is from? Coin is a bit tight at the moment but I'll go back to your store when it's not.

I was an early adopter of Blackcraft Cult gear but found the quality varied greatly, half of the shirts I spent top dollar on had their prints fade almost completely after only a few wears. This was with washing them inside out in cold water only and drip drying. Between that and how they now plaster their brand and logo all over their items like goth Lui Vitton, I'm done with them.

Glad you like it. I was selling these occult themed things on ebay and through my own site back when the likes of Blackcraft and Killstar were still just ideas in people's heads. so I'm definitely not bitter that they're massive brands now lol. Nah, I never intended to go fully self-employed with my art, it takes the fun out of it for me.

I'm not sure where they print from tbh, but I've had order notifications from all over the world and they've always got them out reasonably quickly.

When I added one of your shirts to the cart as a test a shirt was about AU$25 with AU$6 shipping. Most band merch I would buy is around US$30 for the shirt and almost the same again in shipping, so it ends up being over AU$70 for one t-shirt. You're definitely well priced. Nice Tenderness of Wolves logo too.

Cheers dude. It's that international shipping, and import taxes combination from other places that kills me every time I try and order something from the US. or even Norway. I once bought a t-shirt off Mortiis through his ebay and the shirt was like £8, but the postage was £20-something. Luckily, I really love that t-shirt.

That's basically how I started with my merch. Back in 2007 there seemed to be nothing but slogan t-shirts, nothing really occult, so I made my own and to cover costs I flogged some on ebay. I experimented with iron-on designs that I printed out, and stencils using fabric paint. Even now I've got a vest that I've sewn loads of bits of old t-shirts I had printed years ago but never got round to selling.

One cool thing to to is to get a black shirt or t-shirt and a bit of cardboard (fairly thick). Then place the cardboard inside the shirt so you've got a flat surface that won't soak through. Get some normal household bleach and pop an bit in a glass or an old jar and paint on a design either freehand with an artists paint brush or use a stencil if it's more complex. The bleach reacts with the dye in the shirt and turns it a kind of blood red permanently. Let it dry and boom, cheap easy custom clothing.

UK Death metal band Ted Maul used to do it when they couldn't afford professional screen-printing. You can get cheap black t-shirts on the high-street for pretty much nothing, and after an evening with a bottle of bleach you can have a bunch of merch for your next show.

Reviews for "Step into the Supernatural with These 10 Witchy Fashion Brands"

1. Samantha - 1 star: I recently purchased a dress from a popular witchy fashion brand and I was extremely disappointed with the quality. The dress looked beautiful in the pictures online, but when I received it, it was made from cheap, thin material that was see-through. Not only that, but the sizing was completely off and it was way too tight. I contacted customer service, but they were unhelpful and refused to give me a refund or exchange. I will definitely not be buying from this brand again.
2. Michael - 2 stars: I had high hopes for this witchy fashion brand, but unfortunately, they didn't live up to my expectations. The clothes seemed unique and stylish, but when I received my order, I was disappointed with the craftsmanship. The stitching was sloppy and many of the seams were already coming undone. It was clear that the brand was more focused on the aesthetics rather than the quality of their products. I won't be purchasing from them again.
3. Emily - 3 stars: While I appreciate the concept behind this witchy fashion brand, I found the pricing to be quite excessive for what you get. The clothes looked great on the website, but when I received them, I realized they were overpriced for the quality. The materials used were average at best, and after a few washes, some of the designs started to fade. I would suggest looking for more affordable alternatives before buying from this brand.
