The Curse of Lizzie Borden: Next Shock Docs Revealed

In 2006 a low-budget horror movie called The Curse of Lizzie Borden was released. Even though it was awful, it was followed up two years later with a sequel, The Curse of Lizzie Borden 2: Prom Night. Because, naturally, a prom-themed horror movie was the only thing that could follow, right? (That’s a rhetorical question. There’s only one answer to that and it’s the opposite of “yes.”)

Well, the next installment in the Shock Docs series shares the same name as the 2006 and 2008 horror movies, unfortunately.

Except, instead of being about a girl who gets a job in the Lizzie Borden Museum and then goes on a killing rampage, Shock Docs: The Curse of Lizzie Borden attempts to resolve any negative energy that may still be lingering in, and on the grounds of, one of the most infamous murder houses in America.

Let’s take a look at what it’s about, including when and where you can watch it.

The movie explores the psychological trauma that Lizzie experiences and delves into the mystery behind the murders. While the film takes some creative liberties with the historical events, it provides a chilling and atmospheric portrayal of Lizzie Borden's life after the trial. Christina Ricci delivers a compelling performance as the tormented and haunted Lizzie, capturing the audience's attention from start to finish.

Reviews for "Supernatural Phenomena: The Curse of Lizzie Borden's House"

1. Emily - 2/5 - I had high hopes for "Watch Curse of Lizzie Borden" as a fan of true crime and historical dramas, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The pacing of the movie was incredibly slow, and there were far too many unnecessary scenes that dragged on for way too long. The acting was also rather lackluster, with the actors failing to bring any depth or emotion to their characters. Overall, the film felt dull and unengaging, leaving me disappointed and unimpressed.
2. Jake - 1/5 - "Watch Curse of Lizzie Borden" turned out to be a complete waste of time for me. The storyline was confusing and poorly developed, making it difficult to follow and understand what was happening. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, and the characters lacked any real depth or complexity. Additionally, the film had numerous technical issues, with glaring continuity errors and subpar cinematography. I found myself struggling to stay engaged throughout the entire movie, and by the end, I was left frustrated and unsatisfied.
3. Sarah - 2/5 - As a fan of true crime documentaries, I was excited to watch "Watch Curse of Lizzie Borden," but it ultimately left me underwhelmed. The film focused more on creating a creepy and eerie atmosphere rather than providing in-depth insight into the case. The pacing was slow, and there were too many scenes that felt repetitive and unnecessary. The performances by the actors were decent, but the screenplay failed to utilize their potential fully. Overall, the movie lacked the captivating storytelling and suspense that I was hoping for, making it a forgettable and disappointing watch.
4. David - 2/5 - "Watch Curse of Lizzie Borden" had the potential to be an interesting exploration of the infamous murder case, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The film felt disjointed and lacked a cohesive narrative flow, leaving me confused and disengaged. The use of flashbacks and dream sequences felt overdone and served to further confuse the already complicated plot. I was also disappointed by the lack of character development, as it made it challenging to connect or empathize with any of the individuals involved in the story. Overall, the movie left me wanting more and feeling unsatisfied with the execution of such a fascinating true crime story.
5. Alex - 3/5 - While "Watch Curse of Lizzie Borden" had its flaws, it also had some redeeming qualities. The film managed to create a genuinely eerie and suspenseful atmosphere, which added to the overall tension of the story. The use of visual effects and cinematography was impressive, especially in some of the more gruesome and chilling scenes. However, the pacing was slow, and the movie dragged on in certain parts, making it feel longer than necessary. Additionally, some of the plot twists felt forced and predictable, taking away from the impact they could have had. Overall, while it wasn't a complete disappointment, "Watch Curse of Lizzie Borden" didn't fully live up to its potential.
