The Thrill of Reel Magic Fishing: Challenges and Rewards

By admin

Reel Magic Fishing is a popular activity, especially among outdoor enthusiasts and those who enjoy spending time in nature. It involves using a special fishing reel attached to a fishing rod to catch fish from bodies of water such as rivers, lakes, and oceans. This method of fishing is commonly practiced by both recreational anglers and professional fishermen. The reel used in Reel Magic Fishing is an essential tool that allows anglers to cast their fishing line into the water and reel it back in, along with any fish that may have been caught. There are various types of fishing reels available, including spinning reels, baitcasting reels, and fly reels, each designed for specific fishing techniques and preferences. The process of Reel Magic Fishing starts with selecting the appropriate fishing gear, including the fishing rod, fishing line, and fishing hooks.

Charter Information

Welcome to the Reel Magic website, my name is Tony Skeen, and I am the owner/skipper of Reel Magic which is a Marco 650 Sou’Wester alloy boat.

Reel Magic is now powered by a 2020 150HP Honda outboard, giving a maximum cruising speed of 25 knots.

I have Maritime NZ Skippers Restricted Limits and Maritime Transport Operators Certifications along with First Aid and Radio Operators certificates which allow me to operate my charter business.

Reel Magic departs from the pontoon at the end of Alamar Crescent in Mangawhai Heads.

The boat can take a maximum of six passengers for fishing and sightseeing trips.

I find a maximum of four passengers is best when booking fishing charters.

I have have been running charters out of Mangawhai since 2009.

Current rates are $800 for up to 4 people (plus $200 per extra person) for a day trip which will usually give you seven to eight hours on the water.

A half day option is also available for $520 for up to four people (plus $130 per extra person) giving you four hours on the water.

Rods can be hired for $20 per person if needed.

Bait, salt ice and fishing tackle can be purchased from Fish&Dive which is located at 8 Wood Street Mangawhai Heads.

-->You a welcome to keep the fish you catch and th ere is a 90 litre fish bin onboard to keep your catch chilled and in top condition.

There is also an onboard flush toilet available.

I am a passionate lifelong fisherman and have been fishing the Mangawhai area since the 1980’s.

Most trips are in the Bream Bay area in depths ranging from 15 metres in depth, out and around to the Hen and Chickens Islands which are about 10 miles offshore and 50 metres deep.

A large variety of species can be caught in this area, but Snapper and Kahawai are the most prevalent. Other species can include Yellowtail Kingfish, Terakihi, Gurnard, Trevally, John Dory just to name a few.

My favourite style of fishing is soft baiting on the drift, but I don’t mind if you prefer jigging or anchoring up and using bait, or whatever your preferred method is.

My hire rods are for bottom fishing, soft baiting and lure fishing (sliders etc). If you plan on jigging, you will need to bring your own gear.

I can also issue gift certificates for full or half day trips which make great presents.

The process of Reel Magic Fishing starts with selecting the appropriate fishing gear, including the fishing rod, fishing line, and fishing hooks. It is important to choose the right fishing rod for the type of fishing being done, as well as the weight and size of the fish being targeted. Once the fishing gear is assembled, anglers are ready to find their fishing spot.

Reel magic fishing

It could be a calm lake, a flowing river, or the vast ocean. Each fishing location presents its own challenges and opportunities, making Reel Magic Fishing an exciting and unpredictable sport. When fishing, anglers must have patience and skill to attract fish to their bait or lure. They may use live bait, artificial lures, or flies, depending on the type of fish they are targeting and the fishing techniques they are employing. The goal is to entice the fish to bite, hooking them onto the fishing line. Once a fish bites, the angler must quickly set the hook and begin reeling it in. This is where the magic happens – the reel enables the angler to bring the fish closer to their location, using the mechanics of the fishing reel to collect the fishing line smoothly and efficiently. Reel Magic Fishing requires technique and finesse to ensure that the fish is successfully landed. Anglers must carefully balance the tension on the fishing line, controlling the force and speed at which they reel in the fish. This prevents the fishing line from breaking and ensures the fish can be safely landed. As the fish gets closer, the angler may need assistance from a landing net or simply use their hands to secure it. Some anglers practice catch and release, gently removing the fishing hook and returning the fish to the water unharmed. Others may choose to keep their catch for consumption or as a trophy. Reel Magic Fishing is a versatile activity that can be enjoyed by everyone, from beginners to experienced anglers. It offers a chance to connect with nature, test one's fishing skills, and experience the thrill of the chase. Whether it is for leisure or competition, Reel Magic Fishing is a timeless pursuit that has captivated people for generations..

Reviews for "Reel Magic Fishing: The Joy of Catch and Release"

1. John - 1/5 stars
I was really disappointed with "Reel Magic Fishing". Firstly, the game lacked any real variety in terms of fishing locations and fish species. It became incredibly boring to catch the same fish over and over again in the same scenery. Additionally, the controls were finicky and difficult to master. It was frustrating trying to reel in a fish only to have it escape due to the poor responsiveness of the controls. Overall, I would not recommend this game to any fishing enthusiasts.
2. Sarah - 2/5 stars
"Reel Magic Fishing" had so much potential but failed to deliver. The graphics were decent, but that's pretty much where the positives end. The game quickly became repetitive as I found myself doing the same repetitive actions to catch fish. There was no real challenge or excitement in the gameplay. I also found the in-game purchases to be expensive and unnecessary, as they didn't add much value to the overall experience. I hope the developers can work on improving the gameplay mechanics and adding more variety to make it a more enjoyable fishing game.
3. Mike - 3/5 stars
As an avid fishing fan, I was excited to try out "Reel Magic Fishing". However, I found the game to be lacking in realism and depth. The fish behavior seemed scripted, and there was no real challenge in catching them. The game also lacked a sense of progression, as there were no goals to work towards or achievements to unlock. While the graphics were decent, it wasn't enough to make up for the overall lackluster gameplay. I would recommend this game only for casual gamers looking for a simple fishing experience, but not for those seeking a realistic fishing simulator.
