The Witch of Gluttony is a character in the Japanese light novel and anime series, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, written by Tappei Nagatsuki. She is one of the seven witches in the series and is known for her insatiable hunger and the ability to consume and absorb anything. Her real name is unknown, and she is referred to as "Witch of Gluttony" due to her insatiable appetite. The Witch of Gluttony is portrayed as a twisted and sinister character who preys on the weakness and desires of others. She has the power to eat and absorb everything, from physical objects to intangible emotions and memories. This allows her to manipulate and control others, using their weaknesses against them.

Similarly, the Rabbit, that Daphne imbued with her own sense of hunger, had the power to multiplicate rapidly, meaning it could feed many bellies if it was hunted. Two additional unique mabeasts created were the Crimson Scorpion and the Centipede Coffin, the latter of which served as transportation for Daphne who believed moving was a waste of energy that only increased her hunger.
This allows her to manipulate and control others, using their weaknesses against them. She is able to devour not only material things but also people's memories and even their souls, leaving them empty and lost. One of the main story arcs in Re:Zero features the protagonist, Subaru Natsuki, encountering the Witch of Gluttony and being repeatedly killed and resurrected in a time loop.

1. Jane - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with "Re zero witch of gluttony". I had high expectations for this anime but found it to be lackluster and confusing. The plot was all over the place and there were too many characters introduced without proper development. I struggled to care about any of them and found myself constantly confused about what was happening. The animation and artwork were also quite underwhelming. Overall, I would not recommend this anime to others.
2. Mike - 1/5 - "Re zero witch of gluttony" was a complete waste of time for me. The storyline was convoluted and difficult to follow, with no clear direction or purpose. The characters were forgettable and lacked depth, making it hard to connect with any of them. The pacing was also an issue, with long periods of slow development followed by rushed and chaotic scenes. The animation quality was average at best, with nothing particularly impressive or memorable. I found myself losing interest quickly and had to force myself to finish the series. Save yourself the trouble and skip this one.
3. Kelly - 2/5 - I had heard good things about "Re zero witch of gluttony", but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype for me.
