Exploring Ancient Pagan Traditions: Fall Equinox Customs

By admin

The fall equinox, also known as Mabon in pagan traditions, is a time when day and night are in balance. This is a significant moment in the Wheel of the Year, marking the transition from the warm and abundant days of summer to the cooler and darker days of autumn. Pagan customs associated with the fall equinox often involve themes of gratitude, reflection, and preparation for the coming winter months. **Celebrations may include rituals, feasts, and activities aimed at honoring the harvest and giving thanks for the abundance of the earth.** Many pagans observe this time by gathering with loved ones, creating altars adorned with symbols of the season, and performing ceremonies that acknowledge the changing seasons and express gratitude for the blessings of the year. **Some common customs and practices include making and sharing seasonal foods, such as breads made from freshly harvested grains, fruits, and vegetables.

I have been transitioning to grey for a couple months - I started by removing hair color while I grew out the roots and then bleached out the remaining color. My hair was kinda burnt out from the processing so I had to stop before I got to 10, I got to a good light color but ran into problems toning it. I tried a couple different purple products to tone out the yellow but kept running into a problem where it was getting into the natural growth and after the first two washes there was a lot of blue that was hanging on so all my naturally white-silver hair looked bluish and my bleached yellow tints were looking green - ugh - then every time I tried to tone just the green-yellow areas with a light pink it was still getting into my natural new growth or it was too pink on the ends. Frustrating trying to get a demarcation blend. This Oyster tiny color seems to be a good cure for my toning woes - you definitely have to leave the tints on for an hour+ to get it to show but Oyster makes the white-sliver a softer silver tint that is less white but not covered and the processed parts where the green yellow was is now a nice soft violet grey. I have been using Olaplex but having a conditioning toner/tint has been a great fit for my regime to keep it moisturized. My natural curly texture is starting to come back from the straw/frizz. I’ve heard complaints about the texture being too thick but I thought it was perfect - thick enough to cling and not drip but light weight enough to…

Pagan fall equinox customs

** **Activities like apple picking, making cider, or collecting colorful autumn foliage are also popular during this time.** Another key aspect of fall equinox customs is reflection and introspection. **Many pagans take time during this season to reflect on the growth and lessons they have experienced throughout the year, and to set intentions or goals for the coming months.** This may involve journaling, meditation, or divination practices to gain insight and clarity. Finally, the fall equinox marks the beginning of a period of preparation for the colder months ahead. **This time is often used to store food and supplies, can or preserve excess harvest, and ready homes for the coming winter.** In pagan traditions, the fall equinox is a time of transition and balance, where customs emphasize gratitude, reflection, and preparation for the changing seasons..

I recently attended a pagan fall equinox celebration and I must say it was not for me. The customs and rituals performed were strange and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I didn't understand why they were dancing around a bonfire and chanting in a language I didn't recognize. It just seemed very cult-like and I couldn't wait to leave. I'm sure this type of event appeals to some people, but for me, it was a total miss.

I went to a pagan fall equinox gathering out of curiosity, but unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. The customs and traditions that were practiced felt unorganized and lacking in meaning. It seemed like everyone was just going through the motions without truly understanding the purpose behind it all. Additionally, the event was poorly planned, making it difficult for attendees to fully participate. Overall, I found the experience underwhelming and would not attend again.

I attended a pagan fall equinox celebration and was not impressed. The customs and rituals felt excessive and unnecessarily complicated. I couldn't understand why everything had to be so intricate and time-consuming. It seemed more about performing elaborate acts rather than connecting with nature and enjoying the essence of the season. I was hoping for a more laid-back and meaningful experience but ended up feeling overwhelmed and disconnected.
