Lake Fontana and the shore line is primarily Nantahala National Forest, or is part of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, which is Federally owned, so the Lake is never 'Busy', but the few available rental boats do get booked up.

The beauty of a vacation in the Smokies can only be enhanced by its remote location and solitude! Therefore, please be advised that the WIFI in this area is unstable. Downloading, streaming, and/or video conferencing may not be available.
Sleep soundly in one of the four king-sized beds, three queen-sized beds, or three twin/trundle beds to recharge after the day’s events. Bedrooms include private baths, with select rooms having televisions and access to a private deck.
The living room allows ample amounts of natural light and one-of-a-kind views from the floor-to-ceiling windows, making it a prime spot to relax by the wood-burning fireplace and watch a movie on the flat-screen television. Cook for your group in the fully-equipped kitchen with the modern, stainless appliances, granite countertops or on the gas grill. Sit down for a nice family dinner in the large dining room that seats up to twenty, or take your plates to the deck and enjoy dinner with a view.
Spend hours of fun in the game room, and challenge you opponent to a game of pool or Foosball, and enjoy the bar and mini-fridge access for snacks and drinks. 1) Sarah - 2 stars - The Mountain Magic Cabin was a huge disappointment. The photos on the listing looked great, but when we arrived, we found an outdated and run-down cabin. The furniture was old and uncomfortable, and the kitchen was poorly equipped. The cabin also had a musty smell and there were visible signs of mold in the bathroom. Overall, it did not live up to the description or the price we paid. I would not recommend staying here.
2) John - 1 star - This cabin was a disaster. The location was isolated and difficult to reach, with a long unpaved road that was full of potholes. When we finally arrived, we were greeted by a dusty and dirty interior. The beds were uncomfortable and the linens were old and worn out. The bathroom was tiny and smelled bad. To top it off, there was no Wi-Fi or reliable cell service, making it impossible to stay connected. Save yourself the trouble and find another place to stay.
3) Emma - 2 stars - I had high hopes for the Mountain Magic Cabin, but sadly it fell short. The cabin was not well-maintained and in dire need of an update. The carpets were stained and worn, and the kitchen appliances were outdated and barely functioning. The heating system was unreliable and we were left shivering during the cold nights. Additionally, the advertised amenities like a fireplace and hot tub were either broken or not functioning properly. It was a disappointing experience overall.
4) Mike - 3 stars - The Mountain Magic Cabin had its pros and cons. The location was beautiful and offered stunning mountain views. However, the cabin itself was not quite up to standard. The interior was outdated and felt cramped, especially the small bedrooms. The water pressure in the bathroom was very low, and the hot water ran out quickly. On the positive side, the cabin had a cozy porch where we could enjoy the view, and the surrounding nature trails were great for hiking. Overall, it was an average stay but I expected better.
