The Art of Menstrual Blood Divination: Unlocking the Secrets of the Universe

By admin

Menstrual blood magick is a practice that involves using menstrual blood as a source of power and energy in various rituals and spells. It is rooted in ancient beliefs that view menstrual blood as a potent substance with mystical properties. In various cultures and spiritual traditions, menstrual blood has been revered for its association with fertility, creation, and the divine feminine. It has been used in ceremonies aimed at calling forth abundance, attracting love, and enhancing spiritual connections. Menstrual blood magick can be conducted in different ways depending on the individual's beliefs and intentions. Some practitioners might choose to collect their menstrual blood in a menstrual cup or a container, while others may opt to use soaked tampons or pads.

The Magical Science of Period Blood

Here at Intimina, one of our goals is to encourage people to change the relationship they have with their periods.

While menstruation can come with some unpleasant side effects, it’s also a potent time to turn in and practice period alchemy so that you can develop a deeper appreciation for your monthly gift.

Alchemy not your thing? That’s ok. It’s not for everyone. Luckily, we’ve got science on our side. Science to confirm knowledge that we all innately have. That every bit of the human body is magical- including the blood that we shed.

A Time for Purification

In many indigenous cultures, menstruation is thought to be a time of purification. Women are celebrated and revered for the body’s ability to regenerate, renew, and release. Ancient intuition tells us of the body and spirits’ ability to cleanse during this time- and now we have science to back that up.

Here Comes Science

Period blood has components that support the natural balance of the human body. Scientists have discovered that human menstrual blood contains antibacterial hemoglobin peptides.

We’re all familiar with the term antibacterial. Something that kills bacteria. Upon discovering the world of microbes, scientists and medical professionals went on a crusade to wipe out and eliminate all potentially dangerous bacteria, in an effort to prevent and control the spread of infectious illnesses.

The problem is, not all bacteria is bad. In fact, more than half of the human body is comprised of non-human cells like bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Pretty cool huh? Bacteria are our friends!

So of course it makes sense that our bodies have built-in regulatory processes to help maintain the many organisms that we’re constantly hosting in the human hotel.

The genius of naturally produced antibacterial properties in the vagina, is that it helps maintain a healthy balance of vaginal flora , versus products produced in a lab that can disrupt our natural homeostasis.

Hemoglobin is a protein in our red blood cells that supports oxygenation in our tissues by carrying oxygen from the lungs outward, and carbon dioxide from the tissues, back to the lungs.

When examining the hemoglobin of period blood from healthy people, researchers discovered that it was rich with these natural antibacterial properties.

You see where I’m going with this?

It’s a lot of lingo, and a lot of science.

Simply put- period blood helps maintain the health of the vagina, and the whole body. Pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

One of the biggest offenders our periods protect us against? E. coli .

While E. coli get a bad rap, they are actually a vital part of a healthy intestinal tract. Some however, can potentially cause illnesses and ailments. E. coli in the vagina can lead to urinary tract infections, vaginitis, and other disruptions.

Yay for bacteria!

Wait, There’s More…

It doesn’t stop there. Stem cell research- an invaluable field of study in the treatment of a myriad of different diseases, injuries, and ailments can also utilize the powers of period blood.

Stem cell therapy has helped countless people in their healing journeys. The issue is that it often comes from invasive sources like bone marrow, fat tissue, and umbilical cords. Period blood on the other hand? Our bodies naturally shed that every month anyway- so we may as well put it to good use!

Stem cells found in period blood, while they have somewhat different properties, were found to potentially help in the case of wound healing, and other specific diseases. This is thanks to their ability to form clones (clonogenicity) and migratory properties so that they can move to specific locations.

Not only that, their abilities may even be enhanced when in inflammatory environments. Hence their ability to help heal wounds.

Period Protection

Pathogens can enter our vaginas through a number of ways. Anything that you potentially put up there, from a penis, to a toy, to period products, can potentially introduce harmful bacteria to your vagina. Even things like wiping wrong, or wearing too tight of clothes can drag these bacteria from the anus upwards.

Menstruation acts as natural protection against this. Through this cleansing process, our bodies are able to protect themselves, and keep our reproductive tracts healthy and happy.

Our bodies are nothing short of magical. It makes you realize just how interconnected the organisms of this planet are, and that they work in harmony to support the cycle of life.

I don’t know about you, but all this knowledge deepens my appreciation for the female body that much more. Bring on the blood!

Thank you for the article. I was looking for something that would support a hypothesis of mine. Sometimes my cooch kinda rebels against me and starts itching, I’ve had it checked out, nothing serious. It usually happens a week or so before my period. Come period and everything is back to normal. So I thought there must be something in my period blood that helps reset things back to normal. Thank you so much for the clear explanation here. As a suggestion to other readers, maybe don’t wear tampons and cups for 2 days of your period, let your blood work it’s magic before your period ends. Yes it sucks to feel blood wet down there but your cooch will thank you

802 – 'Sex and magic' text pictures

Physical description: Entitled 'Sex Magic' on reverse, 5 texts with ink (?) prints added on top. Museum classification: Richel Collection Size: 170 x 620 mm Information: A visitor to the museum has suggested that these pictures are associated with fertility and crops, because of the link between the vulva shape and the sexual organ of the flower. Ladyseawytch, who recently visited the Museum, has suggested that these pictures may be fertility magic involving menstrual blood (with each picture being a spell for a different woman). She writes: 'Menstrual blood is one of the most potent materials that can be used in Sex Magic and rituals. It is common for menstrual blood to be used in fertility rites as well as binding spells and love spells. The purpose of using menstrual blood on texts and papers is to act as a 'taglock' or magical link to the person who requires the help/spell. 'Name papers' are used to collect bodily fluids which would include menstrual blood and used in a variety of ways. It is common in ritualised magic such as sex magic etc to make a petition to a specific god or goddess asking for their higher power and help in delivering the spell to its desired conclusion. Making petitions usually involves using items, icons etc that relate to that specific god. I have spells in books that require petitions to Saints and Gods from other traditions/religions and it's common to use pages from holy scriptures such as specific psalms, prayers, poems to attract the said God, Goddess or Saint's attention. In conclusion it is possible that the Vulva magic pieces you have are scriptures, prayers, ancient texts covered in menstrual blood and used as a petition and this is part of a sex magic spell/ritual, to aid the woman whose blood it is.' Some practitioners might choose to collect their menstrual blood in a menstrual cup or a container, while others may opt to use soaked tampons or pads. The blood is then utilized in rituals, spells, or potions. One common practice is the creation of menstrual blood love spells, where the blood is used to attract a desired romantic partner or strengthen existing relationships.

1. Jessica - 2/5 stars
I bought "Menstrual Blood Magick" with high hopes, but I was disappointed with what I found. The book lacked proper research and a balanced perspective. It felt more like a collection of personal beliefs and anecdotes rather than a comprehensive guide to the subject. Moreover, the author's writing style was often unclear, making it difficult to accurately understand and comprehend her ideas. Overall, I was left wanting a more well-rounded and informative exploration of menstrual blood magick.
2. Jason - 1/5 stars
I found "Menstrual Blood Magick" to be utterly absurd and completely unnecessary. The book seemed more interested in shock value rather than providing any genuine knowledge or insight into the topic. The author's attempts to link menstrual blood to supernatural powers felt forced and contrived. The lack of any scientific basis or credible evidence made it hard to take anything the author wrote seriously. This book was a complete waste of time and money for me.
3. Ashley - 2/5 stars
I was intrigued by the concept of "Menstrual Blood Magick," but unfortunately, the execution fell flat. The book was poorly organized and lacked any real depth or substance. The author seemed more focused on pushing her own agenda and personal beliefs rather than providing a balanced and informative exploration of the topic. Additionally, the lack of solid references and research made it difficult to trust the information presented. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for a serious and well-researched study of menstrual blood magick.
4. David - 1/5 stars
"Menstrual Blood Magick" was an absolute disappointment. The book was nothing more than a collection of pseudoscience and unfounded claims. There was no credible evidence or logical reasoning presented to support the author's assertions. It felt more like a work of fiction than a serious exploration of the topic. I would caution anyone considering buying this book to save their money and time.
5. Sarah - 2/5 stars
I was truly hoping that "Menstrual Blood Magick" would shed light on an interesting and lesser-known subject, but unfortunately, it fell short. The book lacked depth and factual accuracy, and the author failed to provide any substantial evidence or research supporting her claims. While I appreciate exploring unconventional topics, this book left me unsatisfied and wanting more. I would recommend seeking out more reputable and well-researched sources on the subject for those genuinely interested in learning about menstrual blood magick.
