Petz Fantasy Moonlight Magic Nintendo DS Game

It happened so fast – my little guy has turned into a kid that loves video games, music, wants his hair like the other kids and all that… he’s only five. I love to see him mature, but as a parent it’s my responsibility to still find things that are fun, yet age appropriate and my favorite educational. With my son loving his Nintendo DS I like to find games that he enjoys, but are appropriate… like the Petz Fantasy Moonlight Magic game we were provided with by Ubisoft. I of course sat down to play this game with my son at first to see what it was all about and if it was okay for him. Sure enough he was very excited and the more we got into the game the more enthusiastic he and I became. First we were able to choose a pet and he was able to name it – Son: I can name it whatever I want? Me: Sure . Son: How cool is that? I’ll name it my name because that will be awesome . We started playing and whichever pet you pick has it’s own little personality so as you venture into the challenges of feeding, bathing and having fun with it, depending on the animal you get a different adventure. To play you keep the status bars full and then you get to enter into a magic world to open locked items for your pet and magic powers he/she may have. When we first started playing I was worried because there were little messages that I had to read to my son – thinking great this is going to be something we have to pla y together no matter what. However after reading it a few times through and he caught on to what he needed to do – he can easily play by himself and succeed easily. This game also encourages hand/eye coordination, though five my son is pretty good at this he also has to master (quickly) to color in his pets food – this is harder than I thought – it took me a few tries and in my sons words: Mom, I’m better than you at this. Then he has to clean his pet and hold the water sprayer on the little guy has he tries to move. He does great! Today he was super excited at all the “cool” outfits he unlocked in his magic world – he can have his pet wear Santa, princess, cowboy, rock star and many others. This is a fun game my son absolutely loves and I as well as my son would recommend it to friends! You can purchase at Amazon.com and Toys R Us.

While Ubisoft provided me with this game to review, the opinions I’ve expressed here are solely my own and represent my honest viewpoint. Ubisoft, Clever Girls Collective and I promote Blog with Integrity.
