The composition was riveting I wasn t sure at first if the photoplay stylings of certain sections diminished the seriousness somehow, but ultimately it served its purpose well as the underpinning for a pared-down recitative and a way of heightening the drama; the tritone interval that forms part of the diminished triad, the infamous diabolus in musica, was a clever thing to use, as witches were said in those days to consort with the devil. The piano shifted to hyperbolic drama, reminiscent of the old photoplay music written for silent films as Brewer played diminished 7 th chords with a jangling tremolo as Grissall begins plotting her own revenge.

Reviews for "Developing Critical Thinking with Magic Tree House Preschool"

1. Linda - 2 out of 5 stars - I was really disappointed with the Magic Tree House Preschool book. I found it to be confusing and unclear. The storyline didn't flow well and it lacked the magic and excitement that the other books in the series have. The illustrations were also quite dull and didn't capture my child's attention. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this book to other parents looking for a captivating preschool read.
2. David - 1 out of 5 stars - I was hoping for a fun and educational book for my preschooler, but the Magic Tree House Preschool completely missed the mark. The content was too advanced for my child's age group and the vocabulary used was not appropriate for preschoolers. The activities suggested in the book were also not engaging or interactive enough to keep my child interested. I was left feeling disappointed and frustrated with this book.
3. Sarah - 2 out of 5 stars - My child loves the Magic Tree House series, but the preschool version was a letdown. The story was uninspiring and lacked the creative elements that the original series has. The characters were not as dynamic and the plot was predictable. The book also didn't provide much educational value in terms of teaching concepts or skills. I would recommend sticking to the regular Magic Tree House books for preschool-aged children.
