Thematic Connection I feel the main message in the story of Buffalo Before Breakfast is that the Lakota Indians had the perfect set up of living off the land and not wasting any resources.
As Jack and Annie explore the vast grasslands, they encounter various challenges and dangers, such as thunderstorms and stampeding buffalo. Along the way, they learn about the importance of respecting nature and the delicate balance between humans and animals in the ecosystem. About the Author
MARY POPE OSBORNE is the author of the New York Times number one bestselling Magic Tree House series. She and her husband, writer Will Osborne (author of Magic Tree House: The Musical), live in northwestern Connecticut with their three dogs. Ms. Osborne is also the coauthor of the companion Magic Tree House Fact Trackers series with Will, and with her sister, Natalie Pope Boyce.
SAL MURDOCCA has illustrated more than 200 children's trade and text books. He is also a librettist for children's opera, a video artist, an avid runner, hiker, and bicyclist, and a teacher of children's illustration at the Parsons School of Design. 1. Samantha - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Magic Tree House Book 18". I found the plot to be predictable and lacking in excitement. The characters were one-dimensional and didn't seem to grow or develop throughout the story. Additionally, I felt like the author missed an opportunity to explore more interesting and diverse themes. Overall, I was underwhelmed and wouldn't recommend this book to others.
2. John - 1 star - "Magic Tree House Book 18" was a huge letdown for me. The writing felt lazy and uninspired, as if it was rushed to meet a deadline. The dialogue was unrealistic and cringe-worthy, making it difficult to engage with the story. I also found the pacing to be inconsistent, with some parts dragging on unnecessarily while others felt rushed and poorly executed. I had high hopes for this book, but it fell flat in almost every aspect.
