Unleashing the Power of the Magic Force Field

By admin

A magic force field is a concept often portrayed in fantasy literature, films, and games. It is a powerful energy barrier or shield created through magical means. The force field serves various purposes, including protection, containment, and manipulation of energy. In many fictional worlds, magic force fields are utilized for defense against physical attacks. They serve as an impermeable barrier, preventing enemy weapons, projectiles, or harmful magic from penetrating and causing harm. These force fields can be set up around individuals, groups, or even entire cities, providing a sense of safety and security.

These force fields can be set up around individuals, groups, or even entire cities, providing a sense of safety and security. Moreover, magic force fields have the ability to contain or imprison entities or objects. They can be used to trap dangerous creatures or to confine powerful artifacts that could bring destruction if mishandled.

Force Field

Force fields are powered by a surprisingly light pair of slender, silvery bracelets. When activated, dozens of tiny biofeedback needles pierce the wearer’s arms to interface with the nervous system; the pain of this causes the wearer to become dazed and have disadvantage on ability checks, attack rolls and saving throws until the end of the wearers next round (DC 15 Constitution saving throw negates) as the force field is activated.

Once active, the device generates an invisible and intangible field of force around the target. The force field blocks solids and liquids, but not gases or light (including laser beams and other purely radiant damage sources). The user of a force field can still breathe, but he cannot eat or drink.

Activating a force field is an action that consumes 1d6 charges from the device, after which point the field consumes 1 additional charge every round it remains active. While a force field is active, the user gains a number of temporary hit points that varies depending on the force field’s power. All damage dealt to the wearer of a force field is subtracted from the temporary hit points it grants first.

As long as the force field is active, the wearer is immune to critical. A force field has regeneration that replenishes its temporary hit points at a fixed rate each round, but if the force field’s temporary hit points are ever reduced to 0, the force field shuts down and cannot be reactivated for 24 hours. Force fields are automatically reduced to 0 hp by disintegration and EMP effects. A force field can be deactivated as a bonus action.

The charge capacity, amount of temporary hit points granted, and rate of regeneration these temporary hit points have varies according to the force field’s color code, as detailed below.

Force Field Statistics
Color Price Capacity Temp HP Regeneration
Brown 5,000 10 5 1
Black 10,000 15 10 2
White 20,000 20 15 3
Gray 30,000 25 20 4

Blue 60,000 40 35 7

Magic force field

The force field serves as a barrier that denies access or escape to those within its confines. Another application of magic force fields is their ability to manipulate energy. They can redirect or absorb energy-based attacks, such as fireballs or lightning bolts, rendering them harmless or using them to power up the field itself. Some force fields are even capable of reflecting energy attacks back towards their source, causing harm to the attacker. The creation and maintenance of magic force fields usually require a skilled magician or sorcerer who possesses a deep understanding of the forces at play. They draw upon their magical abilities to manipulate and shape the energy that forms the force field. This energy can be sourced from various magical sources, such as ley lines, enchanted artifacts, or the practitioner's own lifeforce. However, magic force fields are not invincible, and their effectiveness can be compromised or negated by equally powerful magical or technological means. They may require a constant supply of energy to maintain or become weaker over time, eventually collapsing. Skilled opponents may find ways to bypass or break through the force field, rendering it useless. In conclusion, a magic force field is a powerful energy barrier created through magical means. It serves as a defense against physical attacks, containment for entities or objects, and manipulation of energy-based attacks. While formidable, it is not impervious and can be overcome by equally powerful means. Nevertheless, the concept of a magic force field adds depth and intrigue to the worlds of fantasy and magic..
