The Hiring Process: From Application to Magic Ears Interview

By admin

I recently had an interview with Magic Ears, an online English teaching platform. The interview process was smooth and straightforward, emphasizing the company's commitment to providing a positive teaching experience for both teachers and students. During the interview, I was asked about my teaching experience, my understanding of the platform, and my approach to classroom management. I also had the opportunity to showcase my teaching skills through a demonstration class. The interviewer provided constructive feedback, highlighting both my strengths and areas for improvement. One aspect that impressed me about Magic Ears was their comprehensive training and support system.

Magic Ears Interview and Income (Teaching English Online)

I passed my Magic Ears Interview and I am now officially a Magic Ears Teacher! After interviewing with VipKid and iTutorGroup, I found that Magic Ears was able to offer me the best base rate as well as the easiest interviewing experience.

One aspect that impressed me about Magic Ears was their comprehensive training and support system. They provide training materials and videos to help new teachers familiarize themselves with the teaching platform and its features. Additionally, they offer ongoing support through their teacher support team and provide regular updates and communication through their internal messaging system.

Magic Ears Interview Experience

I had to do more than one Magic Ears Interview before I passed. It took me a total of three attempts before I finally was able to do my demo successfully enough to get an offer.

It is ok to not pass on your first try! These interviews also act as your initial training and feedback, since you will mainly learn via webinars after you are hired. Most of the platforms have a similar interview process where it often takes multiple attempts to pass. Do not get discouraged!

I did my first few demos with one of their coaches before doing my final demo with a student. Typically there are 3 to 4 students in a class, but for my Magic Ears Interview, there was only one. Be prepared for weird things to happen… my student was trying to play with a lighter during my interview! Just remember to respond as positively as possible and ask the student nicely to participate.

The interview also allowed me to learn more about the company's teaching philosophy. Magic Ears focuses on creating a fun and interactive learning environment for young learners. They encourage teachers to use TPR (Total Physical Response) techniques, props, and a variety of teaching aids to engage students and make their lessons enjoyable. Another notable aspect of Magic Ears is their flexible scheduling. Teachers have the freedom to set their own working hours, allowing for a better work-life balance. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for those looking for part-time online teaching opportunities. Overall, my interview experience with Magic Ears was positive, and it gave me insight into the company's commitment to quality teaching and supporting their teachers. I look forward to potentially working with them and contributing to their mission of providing an exceptional English learning experience..
