Jerry Andrus was a renowned magician who was known for his fantastical magic tricks. He mesmerized audiences with his incredible illusions and optical illusions. He had a unique ability to manipulate the senses and make the impossible seem possible. One of Andrus' most famous tricks was the Floating Matchstick. Sometime in my late teens I purchased an interesting little one-trick manuscript called Miser s Miracle, that described an unusual magic trick of making coins appear from between pairs of playing cards, and then from pairs of torn pieces of playing cards that were eventually even smaller than the coins. I m thrilled that these videos are available at the Magicana archive, and thanks to the kindness of Meir Yedid Magic which owns the rights to the instructional videos , these crisply shot performances are a pleasure to watch.

No matter how hard they tried, they could never open the box. Andrus had cleverly designed the box so that it had hidden compartments and secret openings, making it appear impossible to open. Another notable trick by Andrus was the Vanishing Elephant. He would bring a life-sized elephant onto the stage and cover it with a large cloth. In a matter of seconds, the elephant would vanish into thin air, leaving the audience in awe and disbelief. Andrus was not only a master illusionist but also a talented inventor. He created numerous optical illusions, including the famous "Andrus Triangle." This illusion involved two identical triangles placed inside a larger triangle. Despite the two smaller triangles being the same size, one appeared larger than the other due to clever manipulation of perspective. Andrus' fantastical magic tricks were a testament to his creativity and ingenuity. He pushed the boundaries of what was possible and constantly amazed audiences with his incredible illusions. His tricks continue to inspire and entertain magicians and audiences alike to this day..

Reviews for "Breaking Boundaries with Jerry Andrus: The Revolutionary of Fantastical Magic"

1) John - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "Jerry Andrus Fantastical Magic". I found the tricks to be quite predictable and not very impressive. It seemed like he was relying more on gimmicks and props rather than actual skill. The presentation was also lackluster, with Andrus lacking charisma and stage presence. Overall, I was left wanting more and would not recommend this show.
2) Sarah - 3/5 stars - While "Jerry Andrus Fantastical Magic" had some interesting tricks, I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed. Many of the illusions were ones I had seen before, and I expected more originality from a magician of Andrus' reputation. Additionally, the pacing of the show was off, with a few tricks dragging on for too long and others feeling rushed. It was an okay performance, but not one that left a lasting impression on me.
3) Michael - 1/5 stars - I absolutely did not enjoy "Jerry Andrus Fantastical Magic". The entire show felt outdated and lacked innovation. It seemed like Andrus was simply going through the motions without any passion or creativity. The tricks themselves were basic and easily recognizable, making it hard to be impressed. I felt like I wasted my time and money on this lackluster performance.
4) Emily - 2/5 stars - "Jerry Andrus Fantastical Magic" was not as magical as I had hoped. The tricks and illusions were predictable and lacked any real wow factor. Andrus seemed to have a limited repertoire, with many of the tricks being variations of each other. The show also felt disjointed and poorly structured, making it difficult to stay engaged. Overall, it was a forgettable experience and not one I would recommend to others.
