Traditional Yule recipes with pagan origins have deep historical roots. Yule is an ancient festival celebrated during the winter solstice, which marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. Pagans observed this time as a celebration of the returning sun and the promise of the coming spring. Many modern Yule traditions and recipes have roots in these pagan practices. One popular traditional Yule recipe is the Yule log cake, also known as the Buche de Noel. The Yule log cake is a rolled sponge cake decorated to look like a log.

(A/N: can we just real quick sit down and think how amazing it is that the creators behind this movie has perfectly concluded the movie franchise by answering us 'what is the dragon warrior?' and 'why is Po the dragon warrior?', without having to go into big detail. The build up to this part of him discovering himself and living up to the title, that we never fully comprehended when watching the first movie as kids, so fluidly it becomes a 'oh yeah!' mind blowing moment?! I hardly do 'in the middle' author's notes, but I just had to acknowledge the way I felt at this part of the movie. Ok, back to the story✨❤️.)
"Get it? See the giant dragon?" Po says with a laugh as the dragon figure does the same like him. "Get ready to feel the thunder. This is awesome!" Po says with a dance and flying around the area. Chomping at the air with the dragon mouth. Po joyously flies around the spirit realm, while Kai tries to attack him. Po then grab's kai's oncoming blade with the dragon's mouth and beings to pull him around. "Belly gong." Po says as he hits Kai with his belly. "Butt slap." Po says as he whips Kai with the dragon's tail. Kai nearly falls off the cliff as he uses his blade to stay up. "Perhaps a bit of lunch, cause I'm starving." Po says as the dragon slurps up one of Kai's blade.
Kai charges at Po again but Po loops around him, causing Kai to get tangled in his own chain. "Let's do this!" Po yells. "NO!" Kai says as he breaks free, but that doesn't help as Po grabs onto his chain again. One end being stuck to Kai's leg, which resulted in him being dragged around. "Heads up!" Po calls out as Kai's head hits into a rock or two. Kai grunts as he stood on the last rock that bashed into his face. Po standing ready to any attack. "It took me Five hundred years to take Oogway's chi. I will have yours if it takes me five hundred more!" Kai declares. "Chitty-chitty chat-chat. Chit. Chat." Po says as he moves his hands like mouths mockingly. Kai grunts and growls as he jumps up to Po. Po then begins to channel his Chi.
"You want my chi so bad? Then take it." Po says, the dragon forming a circle around him, projecting his chi towards Kai. The Dragon comes through and burst itself into Kai's chest. Kai was filled with power. "Yes! The power is mine!" Kai cheers out. But then his body began to pulse gold, the jade amulets breaking off of his belt. "Wait, no. It's too much. It's too much!" Kai yells out as his body is filled with a blinding light. One pulse of light later and Kai is defeated. In the mortal realm, everyone mutters as the petals began to glow again. From it the amulets burst out with the captured few, like the masters, the five and shifu. "We're back!" Viper says. "Bestie!" Monkeys says as he holds Mantis. "I'm still green! It didn't work! Oh, wait. That's my normal green." Mantis says. "Greeny baby!" Lei says as she grabs mantis and makes him kiss the Tai Lee doll. "Guys! You're alright!" Tai Lee calls out as she went over to them and hugged each and every one of them.
"What about Po?" Li asked. Tai Lee then franticly looked for Po. "Have you seen Po?" Tai Lee asks. "No. He's not here?" Viper answers. "Po? Po? Why isn't he back?" Mr. Ping asked as everyone frantic looks for him. The petals even starts to dim out. "No, no, no. I thought it would work. D-did it not work?" Tai Lee said franticly. Po floated around as Oogway's amulet glowed and he was back. "Dragon Warrior." Oogway said as he floated down. "Oogway?" Po asked. "I can't believe it!" Po said in amazement as he was floating upside down, Oogway chuckling with joy. "You're extra shiny, if only Tai Lee could see you now." Po said as he held his hat on his head. "As are you." Oogway said. "I know right? It's like the best cape ever! When I run with it, then it looks really cool." Po said as he ran in the air as the cape flowed behind him.
"It suits you. You've grown." Oogway said. "Yeah, I gotta lay off the panda buffet." Po said as he patted his stomach. "Grown up." OOgway said as he helped steady Po with his staff. "As I hoped you would when I sent the message to your father." Oogway said as he began to paddle a boat they both landed in. "You sent the universe mail!" Po gasped in amazement as he squished his face. "Yes, the universe needed you." Oogway said. "Me?" Po asked. Oogway chuckled and floated over to the cherry blossom tree. "you finally became the panda you were always meant to be." Oogway said. "But, how'd you know I could?" Po asked as he followed Oogway. "On the first day we met, I saw the future of Kung Fu. " Oogway said as he pointed at Po.

Movie reviewThe Yule log cake is a delicious and festive dessert that is still enjoyed today. Another traditional Yule recipe is Wassail, a spiced hot mulled cider. Wassail is derived from the Old English term waes hael, which means "be well" or "be whole." This traditional Yule drink was often made and shared as a way to wish good health and fortune for the coming year. The recipe typically includes cider, spices such as cinnamon and cloves, and sometimes even alcohol like brandy or rum. Wassail is often served hot and is a comforting and aromatic drink that is perfect for warming up during the winter season. Roast goose is another traditional Yule recipe with pagan origins. Goose was a popular meat choice for Yule feasts in pagan times because geese were believed to be sacred to the goddess Freyja. They were seen as symbols of fertility and abundance. Roast goose is typically prepared with flavorful seasonings and herbs, such as sage and thyme. The meat is known for its rich and succulent flavor, making it a festive and indulgent centerpiece for a Yule celebration. In conclusion, traditional Yule recipes with pagan origins have a rich history that connects us to ancient practices and beliefs. The Yule log cake, Wassail, and roast goose are just a few examples of these recipes that have been passed down through generations. By incorporating these traditional recipes into our modern celebrations, we can honor the past while creating new memories for the future..
