Spoiler: there’s more than one way to celebrate the holidays. Some people decorate a tree, some light the menorah, and others simply sit back and listen to nothing but Mariah Carey for six weeks straight.
But what do they do in Germany? What about Costa Rica? Don’t they stuff grapes in their mouths on New Year’s in Spain? All of these questions, and more, are about to be answered. And not just by us. We had a little help from our friends—EF Ultimate Break Tour Directors. Not only do these experts know their stuff, they freaking love the holidays.
So, follow along as we stop by seven different countries to learn what the locals celebrate, how they decorate, what food they enjoy during the holidays, and which place is lucky enough to have something called Second Christmas Day.

1. Emily - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Gits and Witch". The characters were one-dimensional and lacked development, making it difficult to connect with them. The plot was confusing and disjointed, jumping back and forth without clear transitions. It felt like the story was trying to be too many things at once, resulting in a convoluted mess. Overall, I found the book to be a tedious read and would not recommend it.
2. Michael - 1 star - "Gits and Witch" left me completely unsatisfied. The writing style was dry and lacked any real depth. The world-building was weak, leaving numerous unanswered questions and making it difficult to immerse myself in the story. The dialogue also felt forced and unnatural, making it hard to believe in the interactions between the characters. The pacing was off, with long stretches of monotony followed by rushed action scenes. Overall, I found the book to be a disappointing and forgettable read.
3. Samantha - 2.5 stars - I had high hopes for "Gits and Witch" based on the intriguing premise, but unfortunately, it fell flat for me. The writing was mediocre at best, with clunky sentences and repetitive descriptions. The world-building had potential, but it was never fully explored or explained, leaving me feeling disconnected and confused. The characters were forgettable and lacked depth, making it hard to care about their fates. The plot also dragged in some parts and rushed in others, resulting in an uneven reading experience. Overall, I was left underwhelmed by "Gits and Witch".
4. Brian - 1.5 stars - "Gits and Witch" was a major letdown. The writing style was sloppy and filled with grammatical errors, which constantly pulled me out of the story.
