Girodisc occult pads: the key to increased stopping power

By admin

Girodisc occult pads are a type of brake pads that are specifically designed for high-performance vehicles. These pads are known for their exceptional stopping power and ability to handle extreme temperatures. The name "occult" refers to the unique blend of materials and technology used in the manufacturing of these brake pads. Girodisc utilizes a proprietary heat-resistant resin to create a brake pad that can withstand intense heat generated during high-speed braking. One of the key features of Girodisc occult pads is their high coefficient of friction. This means that they can provide maximum stopping power, allowing drivers to have more control over their vehicles.

I feel like I'm light-years behind some of you guys. I use Meguiar Gold Class Shampoo, two bucket method. No pressure washer, just slap the car with my hose on Jet. Rinse, wash, dry, and then I've just started using Griot Garage 3-in-1 Ceramic Wax. I was always raised on Carnauba. Not sure how good the Griot Garage stuff is, but the hydrophobic properties seem legit. I got caught in some rain earlier today and was watching it just fly away. Pretty awesome!

Yes, that s why David went with SiC, because it forms a permanent bond, the chemicals that are in the coating create the SiC upon contact crosslinking with the clear coat, unlike SiO2 that just sits on top of the paint. If you were thinking of getting this and curious what it looks like, figured I'd share some pictures - the rest of the car is stock still. It looks slightly crooked, but I assure you it's the camera angle (and the lack of lens on my phone)

You did a great job put it on. Did you use a template or something?

I think of this article every time someone adds badges to their car instead of deletes them.

I would have tossed the "MK" and put the "VI" next to the GOLF on the left.

But then, I also am not a fan of badges. now stickers, those are awesome!

@David: Nah, I just ghetto-measured it with marks in the plastic wrap it came in.

FYI - The GOLF badge is coming off - in case it appeared like I was super badgin' my car. I just havent gotten the stuff together yet to debadge it.

I kinda like having a single badge on the car - but Golf is kinda bland and obvious, I liked the MKVI badge a lot because it says I really dig the way my car looks, but it's a little esoteric to a non-car enthusiast.

Girodisc occult pads

This design helps to mitigate the risk of brake fade, which can occur when excessive heat builds up in the braking system. The slots and chamfers aid in cooling the brake pads, thus maintaining their performance even during demanding driving conditions. Another advantage of Girodisc occult pads is their long-lasting durability. These pads are engineered to resist wear and provide consistent performance over an extended period. This makes them an excellent choice for high-performance vehicles that undergo rigorous driving. Furthermore, Girodisc occult pads are designed to be a direct replacement for OEM brake pads. This means that they can be easily installed without any modifications to the braking system. The pads are available for various vehicle makes and models and offer a seamless fit. In summary, Girodisc occult pads are an ideal choice for drivers who are seeking exceptional braking performance for their high-performance vehicles. With their high coefficient of friction, heat-resistant resin, and unique slot and chamfer design, these brake pads offer improved stopping power, reduced brake fade, and long-lasting durability..

Reviews for "Girodisc occult pads: improving the lifespan of brake rotors"

1. John - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with the Girodisc occult pads. From the moment I installed them, I noticed that they didn't provide the stopping power I expected. They felt spongy and didn't give me the confidence to brake hard. I tried breaking them in, as suggested by the manufacturer, but even after that, the performance didn't improve. I ended up replacing them with a different brand and noticed a significant improvement right away. I won't be going back to Girodisc for brake pads in the future.
2. Sarah - 1/5 stars - The Girodisc occult pads were a complete waste of money for me. I installed them on my car and expected a noticeable improvement in braking performance, as advertised. However, the reality was far from it. The pads felt extremely noisy from the beginning, producing a harsh grinding sound every time I applied the brakes. Not only was it annoying, but it also made me doubt their safety and longevity. I decided to switch to a different brand of brake pads, and the noise issue disappeared completely. I would not recommend Girodisc occult pads to anyone.
3. Alex - 2/5 stars - I have to say, I was not impressed with the Girodisc occult pads at all. I bought them thinking they would provide superior braking performance, but they fell short of my expectations. The pads seemed to wear out extremely quickly, requiring replacement in a relatively short period of time. Additionally, I noticed that the brake dust produced by these pads was excessive compared to other brands I've used. It was difficult to keep my wheels clean and shiny, which was quite frustrating. Overall, I was disappointed with the performance and the extra maintenance these pads imposed.
