I won this ARC from a giveaway by Rafael of The Royal Polar Bear Reads a few weeks ago. It’s my first every physical ARC and I am so grateful! I thought I’d have to read the first books in the series first, but I realized this was a companion novel and it could stand alone. And so, I dived in!
This book was a nice, short read! The story weaved tales of unrequited love, dark magic, forgiving mistakes, fulfilling destinies, and families.
With each word, the witch's voice grew stronger, her song more enthralling. It was as if she were able to tap into the deep-rooted magic of the earth itself. The ancient trees swayed in rhythm with her song, their branches reaching out to touch the sky. As the song reached its crescendo, a burst of light erupted from the center of the rock. The forest seemed to hold its breath, waiting to see what would happen next. And then, in a blaze of magic, a portal opened, revealing a world of enchantment and wonder. The witch stepped through the portal, her song still ringing in the air. The creatures of the forest followed her, drawn by the promise of adventure and the call of the unknown. Together, they entered a realm where magic was real and dreams came true. - Sarah - 2 stars - I didn't enjoy "Enthralling witch song" at all. The storyline was confusing and hard to follow, and the characters were not well-developed. The writing style was also very lackluster and didn't capture my attention. Overall, I found it to be a disappointment and would not recommend it.
- Mark - 1 star - I really disliked "Enthralling witch song". The pacing was incredibly slow and nothing seemed to happen for the majority of the book. The plot was convoluted and didn't make much sense, and the characters were uninteresting and two-dimensional. There were also numerous grammatical errors throughout the book that were very distracting. I struggled to finish it and would not read anything else by this author.

The writing itself was average at best and failed to captivate me. Additionally, the romance in the book felt forced and unnecessary.
