Why is this becoming a trend of people I liked? Ugh. You think you know someone when you really never did I suppose.

Ain’t nobody looking up the voice actor for miss minutes

She’s an idiot but I wouldn’t worry about people getting radicalized by the orange talking clock from the latest capeshit

That is untrue already but given she’s about to transform into a giant rampaging clock this season, her role isn’t staying minor. There will inevitably be people curious about her.

Right? I'm in the UK, and the worst thing a Muslim's done to me is bring leftover Eid snacks in to the office when I was out on leave, meaning I didn't get to sample any. They really need to step up their game.

Really sad to see it given how much of a role she played in my childhood and given how generally liberal her politics are outside of this.

Absolutely disgusting. I have a feeling Islamophobia is going to go back to after 9/11 levels here in the US.

Ok? does that balance out her karma levels? I don't see the relevance from what this is about, and if anything is a distraction.

Homeopathic cancer treatment, i.e. treating a serious illness with thoughts an prayers? How does that net you karma points?

EDIT: I loaded the thread some time ago and did not notice you already received answers and noted them. Sorry for the duplicate.

That's absolutely not true.

It is still amazing how social network has helped radicalize these people. Like, it wouldn't surprise they already had those awful thoughts, but then interacting with other racist scum validates them and it gets worse.

Yeah, I've seen people calling her out hard over the last few days. When she posted the PragerU stuff is when I knew she was fully a lost cause.

She's definitely lost a bunch of fans over this bullshit.

It’s crazy seeing two of your childhood icons (Adam Sessler and Tara Strong) show their entire ASS online.

That's absolutely not true.

She's one of the most prolific voice actors working today.

According to IMDB, she has 646 roles to her name.

Granted, a lot of them are listed as "additional voices."

But it really needs to be stressed that Tara Strong is part of what you would consider the "Old Guard" of voice acting. She isn't "just" the orange clock in Loki.

Anything by Genndy Tartakovsky and most American productions in the last 30 years has featured her.
Lots of video games too.

This sucks, I hoped she was better than the brain rot. That Sessler thing is wild too.

Well, lesson re-re-re-re-re-learned about celebrities. They really are just like us!

I'm rapidly losing a LOT of respect for celebs I thought were cool, they are not afraid to show their ass, no room for nuance at all, if you express discomfort with Israel using any excuse to hurt Palestine, than you are somehow on the side of the Hamas, meanwhile they are just cool with dead Palestinians.

To be fair though, the food they make for Eid is usually pretty damn good. So being deprived of that is basically a crime against humanity.

Celebrity cuts you off from the real world - to be fair it's partly necessity. People do stalk celebrities and obsess over them.

Unfortunately it means the longer a person is isolated in that world, the less perspective they have.

Tara's comments are very basic, but I can at least sort them out. What the fuck is he even talking about here? Is there actually someone who committed rape in the name of a free Palestine that got a multiseason Netflix show? Like, even if you want to make shitty edgy "jokes", they still need to make sense.

Anyway, this kind of thing is why I stopped letting myself get attached to voice actors (or whomever) just because I liked something they did.

I disagree. I want to know who these bigots are so I can avoid their work

Basically this. There are plenty of other voice actors out there without shitty views champing at the bit to get roles, while people like Tara Strong have name recognition (and probably better connections) to get first dibs.

This is a unfortunate. Pretty sure takes like this are from ignorance and fear. Unlike most VAs she's pretty prolific, and loved by many. Gonna be hard for someone to boycott her.

It seems to be a strawman argument that the "liberal elites"/the ones in control of Hollywood have been promoting the Hamas members as heroes of Palestinian liberation. Thus they "should have" approved of similar actions from Masterson.

I’m not defending sessler here because that tweet is all sorts of fucking stupid and gross… but his point is pretty clear imo

He’s talking about the blind support for hamas in the name of free Palestine. He’s making a tasteless joke saying if Danny masterson had just said he was doing it in the name of free Palestine, he would’ve been cheered. He’s referencing the Harvard students and the scattered rally’s throughout the world celebrating the horrendous rape and murder hamas committed in the most edgy way possible.

Take a step back and really re read what you posted.
Are there really Harvard Students celebrating the rape and murder of Hamas? Does that even make any sense? I've actually seen the statement and its no where near what you are saying.

How on earth do all of these really shitty people seem to be all the people who get the most famous. I know there are some celebrities and voice actors who are not total pieces of shit but it seems to be getting fewer and fewer every day.

Thank god the TF2 voice actors and most of the Overwatch voice actors seem to be good people.

Tara Strong has been having weird stances on some issues for a while. She was a big supporter of some AI Voice or NFT Voice projects, for example.

Also she's not the only one going mask off on this, have you seen the Jamie Lee Curtis post where she was mourning the death of Israeli children and then deleted her post when she realized the picture she posted were Palestinian children?

Reviews for "Unraveling the mysteries of Cherry Magic Volume V"

1. Emily - 2 out of 5 stars: I was really disappointed with "Cherry magic volume v". The story was all over the place and I had a hard time following along. The characters lacked depth and I couldn't connect with any of them. The writing style also didn't resonate with me, as it seemed choppy and forced. Overall, I found this volume to be underwhelming and it didn't live up to my expectations.
2. Matthew - 1 out of 5 stars: I absolutely hated "Cherry magic volume v". The plot was predictable and cliché, with no originality or surprises. The dialogue was cringe-worthy and the characters felt one-dimensional. I struggled to finish this volume and even then, I didn't feel any sense of satisfaction or enjoyment. I cannot recommend this book to anyone looking for a well-crafted and engaging story.
3. Sarah - 2 out of 5 stars: I had high hopes for "Cherry magic volume v" but unfortunately, it fell flat for me. The pacing was incredibly slow and I found myself losing interest in the story. The romance felt forced and lacked chemistry between the main characters. Additionally, the art style didn't appeal to me and I found it to be messy and unclear at times. I was left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied after reading this volume.
4. Justin - 3 out of 5 stars: "Cherry magic volume v" was just okay for me. The plot had potential, but the execution fell short. The pacing was inconsistent and there were moments where I struggled to stay engaged. The characters were likable enough, but their development felt rushed and I couldn't fully invest in their stories. While not terrible, I don't think I'll be continuing with this series.
5. Olivia - 2 out of 5 stars: I was not impressed with "Cherry magic volume v". The story felt repetitive and I found myself losing interest quickly. The characters lacked depth and their interactions felt forced. The art was the only redeeming factor of this volume, as it was visually pleasing. However, that alone couldn't save this book from being a disappointment. Overall, I would not recommend it.
