I was really excited to see Anne Hathaway as the Grand High Witch, but I was disappointed with her performance. I felt like she was trying too hard to be menacing and it came off as over-the-top and caricature-like. The original Grand High Witch played by Anjelica Huston was much more subtle and sinister. Hathaway's portrayal felt forced and it took away from the overall experience of the movie.

Anne Hathaway's portrayal of the Grand High Witch in this movie was absolutely horrendous. I couldn't understand half of what she was saying with her accent, and her attempt at being scary was laughable. It felt like she was trying to imitate a Disney villain rather than embodying the true essence of the character. I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of the original book or the previous film adaptation.
