The Amulet of Raging: Empowerment and Self-Defense in One

By admin

The Amulet of Raging is an ancient mystical artifact with immense power. Legends speak of its ability to tap into the raw energy of anger and unleash it in devastating ways. Believed to have been created by a powerful sorcerer centuries ago, the amulet is said to grant its wearer incredible strength and ferocity in battle. According to tales passed down through generations, the amulet was forged from a rare gem infused with the spirit of a raging fire elemental. Its fiery red color and intricate design reflect the intense power contained within. Possessing the amulet is said to awaken a primal fury within the wearer, harnessing their anger and transforming it into a force for destruction.

Your amulet will be slightly harder to sunder, I guess.

Can I get a furious amulet of mighty fists for my PFS character for 4000gp or does it have to be 1 already before I can place a furious enchant on it. Possessing the amulet is said to awaken a primal fury within the wearer, harnessing their anger and transforming it into a force for destruction. However, as with any powerful artifact, there is a price to pay for wielding the Amulet of Raging. Many cautionary tales warn of the dangers of losing control to the amulet's influence.

Furious Amulet of Mighty Fists

Amulet of Mighty Fists don't need a +1 to gain enchantments according to the rules so yes.

Nice. And I guess next question will be a no. Can they also be adamantine?

Sure, it can be made of Adamantine.

Adamantine is a special material not an enchantment. You can buy a furious amulet of mighty fists made of adamantine if you want but it won't give any special property to your unarmed strikes beyond furious.

The description of the Amulet itself States that you do not need the +1 first.

If you have a +2 Furious Amulet it will count as +4 when Raging, so you can overcome DR/Adamantine (though not hardness).

Just out of curiosity, what is a +2 Furious Amulet? I don't recall that item.

Just to clarify, the bonuses from the amulet of mighty fists will only apply to your unarmed strikes and natural attacks, not to any weapons you wield.

Furious is a weapon special ability that can be found in Ultimate Equipment (probably somewhere else too, but I'm too lazy to look it up at the moment).

It's an Amulet of Mighty Fists that has +3 worth of enhancements on it. +2 (obvious) and Furious. Furious increases the enhancement bonus by 2 while raging--essentially making it a +4 weapon for the cost of a +3 weapon.

To the OP, the amulet is not a weapon so it doesn't qualify for the "always available" clause for +1 weapons. You actually need enough fame (18) to purchase a 4k item. You may already be aware, but it's important to note.

A more distinct question is "Does a Furious Amulet of Mighty Fists, without at least a +1 static bonus, gain any benefit from the Furious enchantment?"

Sure, it can be made of Adamantine.

The wearer must navigate a fine line between using the amulet's power effectively and succumbing to its overwhelming rage. In ancient battles, warriors who wore the amulet were said to become almost invincible, their attacks fueled by unmatched fury. Their enemies would tremble at the sight of the amulet shining brightly on their chest, knowing that they were about to face a force of unimaginable power. Legends also tell of the amulet's ability to channel its energy, not just into physical strength, but also into magical abilities. It is said that wearers of the amulet have been able to cast powerful fire spells and project waves of scorching heat upon their enemies. Over the years, many have sought the Amulet of Raging, hoping to harness its power for various purposes. Some have sought to use its strength to protect their people, while others have coveted it for their personal gain. However, the amulet has a way of eluding those who are not worthy, often disappearing into obscurity as if it were protecting itself from the wrong hands. The Amulet of Raging remains a mysterious and coveted artifact, inspiring fear and longing in the hearts of many adventurers. As tales of its power continue to be told, warriors and sorcerers alike dream of one day discovering the amulet and harnessing its raging energy for themselves..
