Sockx had long, black hair that seemed to float in the wind, and piercing green eyes that could strike fear into anyone's heart. The people of the nearby village had always been cautious of Sockx and her evil powers. They knew that if they crossed paths with her, they would be cursed with bad luck or turned into frogs. The villagers would often tell stories around the fire of the wicked witch in hopes of warning their children to stay away from her lair in the dark forest.

These toe up house socks could easily belong to the Wicked Witch of the east.
If it wasn’t for a house, which famously landed on her in “The Wizard of Oz”, leaving only her legs with the black and white stockings and ruby slippers exposed.
There are two options for the toe section of the socks.
The first option is a “witchy” pointed and slightly curled shape
and the second option is a simple rounded shape, to keep with the slippers as seen in the movie.
The pattern comes in three sizes (S/M/L).
The length of each size can be further adjusted at indicated points in the pattern. The fit is a loose slipper fit, not a snug sock fit.
Size S should fit EU shoe size 35-37, size M 38-40 and size L 41-43.

Methods:
The pattern contains short rows for shaping, intarsia colorwork, cables and surface crochet slip stitch for a neat finish.
Basic instructions for each method are included.
Attention!
The colorwork method used in this pattern relies heavily
on the ability to change from one end of a double pointed needle to the other, therefore the pattern will not adapt easily to knitting on circular needles.
Tips and tricks:
Make sure to account for “growing” after the first wash by measuring gauge on a washed and dried sample.
You may also want to check the colored yarns for excess dye, to avoid the colors bleeding into the white wool when the socks are first washed. In my experience there is little to no color bleeding with the suggested yarns, but other yarns may differ.
Errata: The first Sentence of the Leg and cuff section needs to end in:
… and attach it (11/12/13)sts to the right of the spot where you cut the yarns.

Sockx sneered, her voice dripping with malice. "Prepare to face the consequences!" But Jack, being quick-witted and resourceful, managed to plead his case to the wicked witch. He explained that he was not there to cause harm, but simply in search of the ancient treasure that could change his life. Surprisingly, Sockx seemed intrigued by Jack's determination and courage. She agreed to help him find the treasure, but with a condition. Jack must promise to share the treasure's magic with her, should he succeed in finding it. Jack, realizing he had no other choice, reluctantly agreed. Together, they embarked on a treacherous journey through the forest, facing numerous challenges and confronting dangerous creatures. Through their shared experiences, Jack began to see that beneath Sockx's wicked exterior, there was a hint of vulnerability and loneliness. After days of traveling, they finally reached the location of the treasure. It was a small, glowing orb, said to hold unimaginable power. Jack made his wish, and in a flash of light, his life was forever changed. True to his word, Jack shared the magic of the treasure with Sockx. The wicked witch's heart softened, and she realized the importance of friendship and kindness. From that day forward, Sockx used her powers for good, becoming a protector of the forest instead of a source of fear. And so, the legend of the wicked witch Sockx was forever changed, reminding us all that even the most wicked of individuals can find redemption and be transformed by the power of friendship and understanding..

1. Emily - 2 stars - I was really excited to read "Wicked Witch Sockx" as I love fantasy novels, but I was left disappointed. The plot was hard to follow and lacked depth. The characters felt flat and underdeveloped, making it difficult to connect with them. Additionally, the writing style felt choppy and inconsistent, making it hard to stay engaged in the story. Overall, I found this book to be underwhelming and wouldn't recommend it.
