Honoring Ancestors: Writing a Wiccan Funeral Poem

By admin

In the realm of Wicca, a religion focused on the worship of nature and the celebration of the cycles of life, death holds a unique place. It is seen as a natural part of the cycle, much like birth and growth, and is not feared or shunned. When it comes to saying goodbye to loved ones who have transitioned from this life to the next, Wiccans have developed their own rituals and practices to honor the deceased and bring comfort to the living. One such ritual is the Wiccan funeral poem. This poem is often read or recited during the funeral or memorial service to pay tribute to the life of the departed and to provide solace to those left behind. The Wiccan funeral poem typically reflects the beliefs and values of Wicca, incorporating elements of nature, the cycles of life and death, and the concept of the afterlife.

A dance-floor brawl broke out on board a Carnival cruise ship early Tuesday ahead of its docking in the Big Apple, authorities said.

The ship, which departed from the Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New Jersey on June 20, traveled to Dominicana, Turks and Caicos and a private island in the Bahamas before returning to the East Coast, according to an online tracker. Other highlights of the ship are the RedFrog Rum Bar, adults-only Serenity Retreat sundeck, Lip Sync Battle Carnival, WaterWorks aqua park, Cloud 9 Spa, Alchemy Bar, and Camp Ocean kids clubs.

After nearly three years, Carnival Cruise Line has resumed homeport operations in New York City. The line last time the operator had a ship based there was in 2019.

Carnival Magic arrived into the Big Apple today, and is set to offer a series of four to nine-night voyages to Bermuda, Canada, and the Caribbean from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. The first voyage will be a four-night Bermuda itinerary.

The ship will stay in New York through late September, also offering eight-night eastern Caribbean cruises with ports including Grand Turk, St. Thomas, San Juan, and more.

This October, the ship will reposition to Norfolk, Virginia to operate two Bahamas and two Bermuda itineraries. At the end of the month, Magic will head down to her winter home in Port Canaveral to spend the season sailing six and eight-night Caribbean cruises.

Carnival Magic is a Dream-class vessel, and debuted in 2011. It was the sixth ship in the Carnival fleet to resume service when it set sail from Port Canaveral on August 7 of last year.
