One sunny afternoon, my friends and I stumbled upon a strange and mystical tree house hidden deep within the forest. Little did we know, this would be the start of an incredible journey filled with magic and wonder. As we cautiously stepped inside the tree house, we were greeted by an old, wise-looking man with a long white beard. This man introduced himself as Merlin, the legendary wizard. He explained that he had been awaiting our arrival, as he needed our help to retrieve an ancient artifact. Merlin told us that this artifact had the power to bring peace and harmony to the world, but it had been stolen by an evil sorcerer.

The camaraderie between the band s members is palpable and endearing, and they seem to be on each other s wavelengths on and off stage; that being said, the band took the main stage at Coachella this year dressed as characters from The Wizard of Oz , which was undoubtedly a fun choice except that it was around 96 degrees in the blazing desert sun, and Rattigan s lion costume looked like it was going to give him a heat stroke behind the drum kit.
Merlin told us that this artifact had the power to bring peace and harmony to the world, but it had been stolen by an evil sorcerer. He revealed that the tree house was no ordinary tree house, but a portal to different realms and dimensions. With his guidance, we would travel through time and space to locate and retrieve the artifact.

Cathy - i actually love this song a ton. but I think the mixing in off? and we are all so used to hearing the live version so this studio version is a bit underwhelming.i still love Jacob songs and its good
Sugar - this song is OK i didn't love it when it first dropped. I still think its solid and I lovenocks vocal performance. sweet song

Unwell - this one im still processing. its long and cool and I enjoy the change in tone throughout the song. also lyrics and the "PLEASE GOD HELP ME" part is phenomenal
Strange - cute voyager b side here. not a bad song but I won't be bumping it in the car with the homies. but I do love the warm classic rock listening on your record player with gramps vibes very sweet happy

Little Rock n Roller - inch resting maybe should've been cut LOL. all around jacobs vocals have improved over the years and I like his singing style on this song and the next one
No Tomorrows - I LOVE this song. its so different, slow, psychedelic, gazey, euphoric. almost like cigarettes after sex? fantastic vocals and song structure very solid the 6 minutes work here!
Fear City - God damn i can't get this song out of my head. its amazing and I hope they do more weird shit like this. who is singing in the second verse? sounds like black country new road guy but maybe its nick singing in a deep voice. I love the "V- V- V- V- violence" part AHH
Randall Flagg - its good. and maybe even a good closing song? but I think of Jamie and fire walk with me and forever dumb and those are all GOATED closers. the closing song should be anthem like tbh and this song has some of those attributes but it blends in too much with the rest I think. we need something special to close the album this is one is just solid. great nick song tho

Surf Curse almost named their new album “Milky Magic.” During the recording sessions at NYC’s Electric Lady Studios for the rock group’s fourth album Magic Hour (out Friday, October 7th), frontman and drummer Nick Rattigan walked by a wall of graffiti with the words “magic trick” written on them, and suggested the phrase to his bandmates as a potential album title.

As we reached our final destination, a dark and treacherous cave, we stood face to face with the evil sorcerer. With Merlin's assistance, we engaged in a thrilling battle of magic and wit. In a climactic showdown, we managed to defeat the sorcerer and retrieve the precious artifact. The moment we held the artifact in our hands, a surge of positive energy filled the air. We watched as peace and harmony were restored throughout the land. People rejoiced, and the world seemed to sparkle with newfound hope. Our journey through the magical tree house with Merlin was an experience beyond our wildest dreams. It taught us the power of courage, friendship, and the enduring strength of good over evil. And as we bid farewell to Merlin and the tree house, we knew that we would carry the memories of this incredible adventure with us for the rest of our lives..
