Embracing the magic: How to view the world with a little love

By admin

View a Little Love, a Little Magic Love and magic are two powerful forces that can bring joy, happiness, and transformation into our lives. When we view the world with love and embrace the magic that surrounds us, our experiences become more meaningful. Love is a force that transcends boundaries and connects us deeply with others. It allows us to see the beauty in each person and appreciate their unique qualities. When we view the world with love, we approach every situation with compassion, understanding, and kindness. This not only nurtures our relationships but also inspires others to do the same.

This not only nurtures our relationships but also inspires others to do the same. Love has the power to heal wounds, mend broken hearts, and create harmony in our lives. Magic, on the other hand, brings an element of wonder and enchantment into our lives.

Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (translating to A Little Love, A Little Magic) is the reason why I took this course.

I saw it was available to stream on Netflix and decided to watch it. Beforehand I had watched only one Bollywood film, the name of which I fail to recall but which was old enough to be in black and white, and ended with the main character forsaking his girlfriend and the corrupt world and walking off into the distance. I was unimpressed. So I tried this 2008 movie for a more modern Bollywood film.

This youtube clip shows the opening sequence of the film and wordlessly tells us the life story of our main character, Ranbeer (our friend Saif Ali Khan whom we’ve seen in Dil Chahta Hai)–a catchy song plays as we see him lose his family (in a car crash) and grow into an isolated and cold businessman who in turn causes a car crash, orphaning three siblings. The judge decides the children should be raised by Ranbeer (a ruling so fantastical I laughed out loud)–and then God, a harried Rishi Kapoor, sends an angel down to help unite the four by becoming their nanny. The plot is a mixture of Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music, and I enjoyed it very much, the strange choice of advertising placement for Universal Studios, the CGI dinosaurs, and all. It was a shallow but entertaining first real taste of Bollywood cinema, and the use of fantastical sequences intrigued me enough to sign up for this course.
