1. John - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with the University of American Samo's choice of mascot. The idea of having a seagull as their mascot just doesn't make any sense to me. American Samoa is known for its beautiful beaches and tropical scenery, and I think they could have chosen a mascot that represented that better. A seagull just seems like a random and uninteresting choice. I was hoping for something more unique and representative of the culture and spirit of American Samoa.
2. Sarah - 1 star - I just don't understand why the University of American Samoa decided to have a seagull as their mascot. It's such a generic and unoriginal choice. There are so many other possibilities that could have been explored to accurately represent the unique culture and heritage of American Samoa. It feels like a missed opportunity to really showcase what makes this university and its students special. I was really let down by this decision and it definitely impacted my overall opinion of the university.

Mike - 3 stars - While I wasn't particularly impressed with the choice of a seagull as the University of American Samoa's mascot, I can appreciate that they were trying to find a representation that links with the island's location. However, I do think they could have chosen something more exciting or culturally significant. A seagull just doesn't have that wow factor or sense of pride that one would expect from a university mascot. It's a missed opportunity to create a mascot that could be a source of school spirit and inspiration for the students.
