Witchy and Wonderful: Trunk or Treat Ideas for the Ultimate Halloween Experience

By admin

Trunk or treat witch ideas: 1. Classic Witch: The classic witch is always a popular choice for Halloween. Dress up as a witch from a storybook or movie and decorate your trunk with cauldrons, brooms, and black cats. Add some spooky lighting and a fog machine for extra effect. 2. Potion-making Witch: Set up a potion-making station in your trunk.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Trunk or Treat and a Halloween Trunk or Treat Blog Hop

It's time for the 2016 Trunk or Treat Blog Hop! I've teamed up with some of my favorite blogger friends to bring you a fabulous collection of DIY Trunk or Treat ideas.

Some spooky, some not--all awesome!

I usually do a more traditional, spooky Halloween trunk or treat, but this year I decided to break that mold and make a Narnia/The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Trunk or Treat. I've been hoping one of my kids would let me do this theme for a birthday party, but they've alays had other ideas, so I had to get a little creative to do a theme I've been wanting to do for years. ;-)

The back of the minivan itself was our wardrobe, and I pulled out old coats from our coat closet. I'd been hoarding the fur and faux fur coats (Goodwill finds for a couple dollars each) for several years in the hopes that one day I'd be able to do this theme! I used a couple of our bare Christmas trees to represent the transition into the Narnian forest, and of course I had to have a lamp post (buy it here). Inexpensive snowflake ornaments completed the snowy scene.

Niamh was my sweet little Mr. Tumnus, the faun.

And Ainsley was our Jadis, the White Witch. She's trying to look very stern at Aslan here (found at Oriental Trading), but it looks more like her bemused-big-sister look.

I really love how the ice crown I made turned out. I'll have more pictures and a tutorial on the blog soon. Also for the icy bangs I made to complete the look.

Potion-making Witch: Set up a potion-making station in your trunk. Fill jars and bottles with colored water, glitter, and spooky ingredients like eyeballs and spiderwebs. Dress as a witch and invite trick-or-treaters to create their own potions.

Narnia Trunk or Treat Ideas

Niamh was my little art director for the shoot, and asked me to turn her black and white in this picture so everyone would know that she had been turned to stone.

Homemade Turkish Delight, of course! It tasted like delicious homemade Swedish Fish candies to me.

Trying out this stuff that made Edmund betray his family. Niamh did not think it was worth it.

Halloween candies don't have the best look to go with a Narnia theme, so I dressed ours up in these lovely snowflake favor boxes from Oriental Trading.

And covered some of the candies in simple sparkly silver pouches, made just by gathering a square of leftover silver fabric I had on hand, and tying with a ribbon.

Snowy, icy jello treats were a hit with the kids.

Niamh decided that Fauns don't need spoons.

I always like to have non-food treats for kids with dietary restrictions, so I made some glittery heart potion bottle necklaces (my version of Lucy's healing cordial, a gift from Father Christmas), using these heart bottle charms. I also had beaded snowflake ornament kits for the kids to make.

Blue Kool-Aid was given a frosty, magical makeover. I'll have details on this project coming up on the blog soon, too. The snowflake cups and plates also came from Oriental Trading.

Witch or Treat DIY Halloween Decor

Here’s a little inspiration this year for some DIY Halloween decor to fill any table in the house! As part of an Instagram group, I made a few little projects using a variety of different products. They ended up all going together quite well to make up what I’ve dubbed my “Witch or Treat” Halloween tablescape.

I even got to throw our old friend the dragon skeleton in the display!

Trunk or treat witch ideas

3. Candy Witch: Instead of handing out traditional candy, why not dress up as a candy witch? Decorate your trunk with colorful candy wrappers and create a candy bar where kids can choose their favorite sweet treats. 4. Wicked Witch of the West: Channel your inner Wicked Witch of the West from "The Wizard of Oz." Decorate your trunk with a yellow brick road, flying monkeys, and a witch hat. Dress up in a long black robe and green face paint for an extra spooky touch. 5. Good Witch: For a more friendly and enchanting trunk or treat theme, dress up as a good witch. Decorate your trunk with twinkling lights, fairy wings, and a magical wand. Offer treats like fairy dust and bubbles to add to the enchanting atmosphere. 6. Fortune-telling Witch: Embrace the mysticism and set up a fortune-telling booth. Dress up as a witch with a crystal ball and tarot cards. Offer to read children's fortunes and give out small treats or trinkets based on their readings. 7. Harry Potter Witch: Channel the magical world of Harry Potter by dressing up as a witch from Hogwarts. Decorate your trunk like the Great Hall, complete with floating candles and a sorting hat. Offer treats themed around the Harry Potter universe, such as chocolate frogs or Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. Remember, safety is important during trunk or treat events. Ensure that all decorations are secure and won't cause any hazards for children. Have fun and enjoy the creative process of turning your trunk into a spooky and enchanting space for Halloween!.

Reviews for "Wickedly Fun Witch Trunk or Treat Ideas That Will Leave You Spellbound"

I was really disappointed with the "Trunk or treat witch ideas" book. The ideas were very basic and lacked creativity. The crafts and decorations suggested were things I've seen a hundred times before. I was hoping for some unique and exciting ideas to make my trunk or treat stand out, but this book didn't deliver. The pictures were also low-quality and unimpressive, which made it difficult to visualize some of the ideas. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this book if you're looking for inventive and original witch-themed trunk or treat ideas.
2. Michael - ★☆☆☆☆
I found "Trunk or treat witch ideas" to be a waste of money. The suggestions included were nothing more than common decorations and costumes that can be found in any Halloween store. The book lacked any innovative or creative ideas that could help make your trunk or treat experience special. Additionally, the step-by-step instructions provided were confusing and poorly explained. The overall layout of the book was unappealing, and the pictures were dull and unimpressive. I regret purchasing this book and would advise others to look elsewhere for more inspiring and unique trunk or treat witch ideas.

As someone who enjoys challenging myself with DIY projects, I found "Trunk or treat witch ideas" to be quite disappointing. The ideas suggested in this book were too basic and lacked the intricate details and creativity I was hoping for. The crafts and decorations seemed rushed and poorly executed. The book also failed to provide alternative options or variations for those who like to put their own spin on things. I was expecting a more comprehensive and inspiring guide, but unfortunately, this one fell short.
4. David - ★☆☆☆☆
I was not impressed with the "Trunk or treat witch ideas" book at all. The ideas presented were repetitive and uninspiring. It felt like the author threw together a bunch of random witch-themed decorations without any thought to cohesion or uniqueness. The lack of detailed instructions made it difficult to replicate some of the ideas, and the pictures provided were not helpful in visualizing the final result. Overall, I found this book to be a letdown and would not recommend it to those seeking innovative and captivating trunk or treat witch ideas.

I had high hopes for "Trunk or treat witch ideas", but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The ideas presented in the book were very basic and lacked originality. Most of the suggestions were things I could easily come up with on my own or find with a quick internet search. The pictures were low-resolution and didn't do justice to the decorations and costumes. The book felt haphazardly put together without much thought or planning. I was hoping for some fresh and exciting ideas, but all I got was a rehash of the same old concepts. Disappointing.
