Unraveling the Mysteries of the Shades of Magic Series

By admin

"The Shades of Magic" series is a fantasy series written by V.E. Schwab. It is set in a world where parallel universes exist and follows the story of Kell, one of the last Antari, a rare magician capable of traveling between these different worlds. In this series, there are four different Londons, each with its own unique characteristics: Grey London, a world without magic; Red London, a vibrant and thriving city where magic is celebrated; White London, a brutal and dangerous world ruled by power-hungry tyrants; and Black London, a city destroyed by magic and sealed off from the other worlds. Kell, who hails from Red London, becomes embroiled in a dangerous plot when he comes into possession of a forbidden artifact from Black London.

Around 2012/13, Schwab started working on Shades of Magic [8] when she got the image in her mind of Kell Maresh and Lila Bard's collision in an alley in Grey London. [9] [10] [11]

Pictured a 400-year-old house, and a computer containing my next novel, a short story about Lila Bard, a TV pitch, daily footage from First Kill, and a pile of big ideas. She decided to set the series in London because her mother is from southern England and when Schwab first went to visit England as a child, she was fascinated by the fact that individual places were older than her homeland the USA and that history was an ever-present thing all around her.
