Braided Cat Ears | Halloween Hairstyles
Many fans have asked if there is any way to make cat ears using your own hair, so that you do not have to pay for those expensive pre-made cat ear headbands.
Well… yes, there is.
I have to give a special thanks to our CGH#4 who happily volunteered to be our model !
Steps:
- I began by sectioning off two small square sections of hair on either side of the middle part line, and secured them with an elastic band.
- For the first ear, I then took two black pipe cleaners, twisting them together, and then braided the two pipe cleaners as the “third” strand of a 3-strand braid. Secure with another elastic band.
- Then, take the finished braid and bend it into a point in a spot that looks good to you, and continue on to fashion the kitty cat ear. Finish the ear by wrapping the end of the braid around the original base, which secures itself because of the pipe cleaners.
- Repeat the same step on the other side.
While finishing this style, we also suggest that you can use red pipe cleaners to create devil horns if you wish to be a Little Red Devil for Halloween! Similar braiding with different colored pipe cleaners can help you create Minnie Mouse ears, puppy ears, bunny ears, piglet ears, and on and on.
